Below are just a few of my many coveted photos from my Wedding Day shot by Joel and Justyna. They were an absolute treat to work with from start to finish- responsive, professional, reliable and unique. Justyna even helped me seek out the perfect location for my pre-wedding Bridal Party photos to meet my specific tastes. They spent over an hour on the phone with my now husband and I before even discussing the signing of any contracts just to get to know us as a couple and understand our vision for our big day. They offered helpful wedding planning advice well beyond photography on numerous occasions throughout the planning process. To top it all off, they are both very cool, down to earth people. It was nice to just be around them.Now onto their work- our photos were all breathtaking. Their styles and etiquette as a working couple compliment each other perfectly! But the magic goes well beyond this- they have a knack for capturing raw emotion. When I look at my photos, I am taken right back to that moment in the most powerful way. I even have the ability to see the wedding through the souls of my guests. As a bride, this is invaluable as the day does seem to fly right by you no matter how conscious you are to take time time to pause. I would recommend this duo over and over again. You would be lucky to have them capture your most precious memories. We are forever grateful.

There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe how awesome Joel & Justyna are! I booked them way back in 2019 for my then-2020 wedding. They were so patient and helpful during our COVID postponement (an entire year, to 2021!). Due to border issues (our wedding was US based), Justyna came by herself with a local second shooter. Justyna made us and our family feel so comfortable and she blended right in to the event so it never felt like a photoshoot. Even our priest commented afterwards that she was discrete and tasteful during our Catholic ceremony, something he doesn't usually experience from wedding photographers! Our gallery is breathtaking and brings me so much joy. The emotion they captured is palpable in the photos. An absolutely joyful experience from start to finish, despite a global pandemic!

Pro tip: hire them to photograph your rehearsal dinner, too!

Joel & Justyna’s work is INCREDIBLE, but sharing our day with them was just as incredible- and that was so meaningful to us. My husband and I are both very private & shy at times and we weren’t sure what it would be like having cameras on us during our wedding. Looking back, we didn't know half of the pictures were captured because they made us comfortable enough to fully relax and just be ourselves. The photos they captured are beautiful, breathtaking and TRUE to how the day really was. They are TIMELESS keepsakes that our whole family will cherish in the days, weeks & years to come! We are so lucky to have worked with them and couldn’t recommend them any more!

We were honored to have Joel & Justyna as our wedding photographers to capture the most important day of our lives in September 2022. While the food and drinks were the number one priority for my now husband for our wedding budget/planning, photography was definitely mine. I fell in love with Joel and Justyna’s work shortly after we got engaged in December 2020 as we started researching photographers. They were the first vendor we reached out to, and we actually booked them prior to us even officially booking our venue back in February 2021! Getting to know them over the almost two years of planning was amazing. From our engagement shoot to our wedding day, we are so thrilled with every single photo. Their style is very timeless, interesting, and mainly made up of unposed natural moments with classic portraits mixed in. Our photos remind me of antique oil paintings or fashion magazine shots that will stand the test of time and we will cherish them forever. Great photography is so worth the investment, and we highly recommend Joel & Justyna!

Photographer Joel & Justyna About me

In 2008, the stars aligned and Justyna was working as a fashion stylist for Style Magazine, and Joel was hired to photograph a few editorials. What followed were years of artistic collaboration, friendship, exploration, and appreciation for each other. This turned to courtship, romance, a beautiful wedding, and a beautiful marriage. With an education in art history, a previous career in fashion modeling, a family business in portrait photography, and a mutual love of French decadence, perfectly diffused light, old hardcover books, exotic travel, and heady perfumes, Joel and Justyna compress all of it – all of it – into their careers as wedding photographers. Joel comes from a family of portrait and wedding photographers. His father, Michael Bedford, was the official royal portrait photographer in Canada prior to his retirement and Joel had the opportunity to assist on royal commission.
