The USA wedding-planning industry is one of the most competitive markets in the world, making it easier to find the right planner but harder than anywhere else. It’s easier because there is so much talent out there. It’s harder because sorting through all the options can be overwhelming. At Wezoree, we make it simple. We’ve spent real time evaluating planners across the country, from Santa Barbara to New York and from Dallas to Northern California. We look past follower counts and magazine features to find the planners whose work truly stands out. These twenty are our top picks.

Anaïs Event Design

The name Anaïs, which means "graceful" in French, was chosen deliberately to reflect the firm's unique, modern approach to event design across a wide range of cultures. Behind this is Amrit Dhillon-Bains, a Northern California-based founder who has been involved in the arts since the age of five and holds degrees in both graphic design and business management.

This blend of creativity and attention to detail guides everything the firm does, from planning entire events to designing custom invitations, party decorations, favors, monograms, and logos for each client. Anaïs Event Design focuses on upscale, cross-cultural, and Southeast Asian weddings, and the team is ready to travel anywhere to bring your vision to life.

Honey + Thyme Events

Caitlin Dobbins traces her path into weddings back to writing a bridal column for a local magazine in college, then to catering and event planning, and finally to falling fully in love with the industry by 2014. In 2020, she founded Honey + Thyme Events, and after eleven years of working full-time in event planning, Executive Director Mikayla joined the team. As Caitlin says, Mikayla really is a logistics queen. Thanks to her skills, both women can focus on what they do best.

"I love creating celebrations that feel layered and intentional, where guests walk away remembering not just how things looked, but how they felt," she says. They create every client experience from the ground up. Instead of preset packages, they guide you through a three-phase process: starting with budget and vendor selection, moving into full design development, and finishing with on-site execution. Honey + Thyme’s favorite weddings are those built on mutual trust, where couples arrive with open minds and see the team as real creative partners. Whether it’s a full wedding weekend, a private estate celebration, or a destination event, the common thread is always the same: each one feels truly authentic to the couple.

Lauryn Prattes Events

"Sometimes the magic is figuring out how to make an idea exist when it doesn't already," says Lauryn Prattes. She leads Lauryn Prattes Events, and that instinct started at one of her earliest weddings. She needed black lace wrapping paper but couldn’t find any, so she scanned real lace fabric, made her own pattern, and printed large sheets so she could wrap each book favor by hand.

After fifteen years, her path included interior design, architecture, earning a PR degree, and a college internship at a bridal magazine. That last experience was the culmination of it all for her. At Lauryn Prattes Events, quality always comes first. This focus shapes not only the number of weddings they plan, but every decision they make. They offer full-service planning and treat each client as unique, since, as Lauryn puts it, everyone has their own way of thinking and doing things. The team especially loves planning tented destination wedding weekends.

The Lynden Lane Co

Barbi Walters and her daughters, Lyndsey Moore and Layne Povey, started The Lynden Lane Co. in 2012. Their company offers a cross-generational approach to design, planning, and destination event production. Fourteen years later, they are recognized as one of the top planning and design firms in the country.

What they enjoy most is weddings for couples who care about their guests' experience, pay attention to the little details, yet never lose sight of the day's true meaning. Transparency is at the heart of what they do: financial matters, emotions, and expectations are discussed openly, which makes the planning process something to be valued rather than endured."Our philosophy is that human connection matters more than everything else - if we trust our clients and they trust us, we can make anything happen," Layne says.

Julian Leaver Events

Julian Leaver brings close to three decades of experience in luxury hospitality and events to Julian Leaver Events. That is a Dallas-based firm with a permanently Paris-based planner for European celebrations. Destination weddings hold a special place in his work, particularly the multi-day celebrations in Paris and on the Amalfi Coast, where he puts all his professional skills to use.

His experience in international relations and negotiations is evident in everything he does - from negotiating contracts with suppliers to managing cross-cultural relationships with clients. He gained this experience while working at prestigious luxury hotels in Dallas before transitioning into the wedding planning industry. Every client receives full attention and expertise, with a process tailored to them. There are no standard packages and no shortcuts. "Luxury isn't about things - it's about making people feel truly known and cared for," he says, and that belief runs through every decision at JLE.

Ashley Smith Events

"For me, wedding planning is really about creating worlds people get to step into for a moment, and making those moments feel unforgettable," says Ashley Smith. Seventeen years into a career she built by treating every wedding as a creative partner first, planner second. In 2009, she founded Ashley Smith Events, starting out in the hospitality industry. Over time, the business naturally evolved into a full-scale event planning company, including a three-day wedding abroad in Spain - that’s when everything fell into place.

The studio specializes exclusively in comprehensive planning and design, and its scope extends far beyond weddings. From out-of-town birthday celebrations to corporate events, Halloween parties, and immersive experiences - Ashley’s team takes on anything that requires creative direction and flawless execution. All of this is united by the very thing that makes their weddings so successful: a true creative partnership in which just as much attention is paid to the atmosphere of the celebration as to its organization.

Estera Events

"We love the creative challenge of bringing each couple's vision to life in a way that feels authentic, elevated, and entirely unique to them," say Bianca Hall and Erica Vanco, co-owners of Estera Events. They offer only full-service planning and design - no tiered packages, no à la carte options. Every aspect of the process is covered, from budgeting and venue selection to production oversight and full execution.

Their careers at Estera began in 2010, when they both started as interns and worked their way up through the ranks, eventually becoming co-owners in 2019. Multi-day destination events, immersive guest experiences, and celebrations in unexpected settings are, as they say, where real creative storytelling comes to life. Instead of repeating what has already been done, the focus is on creating something truly original.

Jesse Tombs

"What I love most is creating experiences that bring people together in a meaningful way - weddings should be incredibly personal, and it's a privilege to help translate a couple's story, style, heritage, and values into something guests can feel," says Jesse Tombs. His firm handles weddings and events in 14 US states, as well as in Europe and Asia. They also offer commercial photoshoots, hospitality brand consulting, and custom corporate retreats.

For 15 years, the team has built a practice that brings together event planning, design, production, and travel. Hospitality, thoughtful design, and a deep sense of a place’s atmosphere - these are the cornerstones of Jesse Tombs’ work. Weddings in exotic corners of the world are what inspire their team the most, because that’s where the venue becomes just as important to the story as the couple themselves. They offer full-service planning, design, and production, along with an IATA-accredited travel concierge, all under one roof. Every project they take on is built around the couple’s story - from the first conversation to the final moments of the wedding weekend.

After graduating from Syracuse University, Callista Osborn began her career in fashion, spending over 10 years in the industry. Later, she became the Associate Director of Events at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel, where she was introduced to luxury hospitality and found her true calling. Together with her husband Jonathan, she founded Callista & Co. in 2012, and nearly fourteen years later, the company has organized hundreds of diverse events - ranging from grand weddings and gala evenings to intimate dinners with close friends.

What she enjoys most about her work is building long-term relationships with clients and planning events in unique venues. She offers comprehensive planning and decoration services, tailored to each couple, in collaboration with designers to bring the overall creative vision to life.

Sunna Yassin and Mollie Jones Hennes founded the company Bash Please based on the belief that the best weddings aren't just beautiful - they're the ones that leave a lasting impression. From the very beginning, passionate about design, hospitality, logistics, and the emotional richness of a well-organized celebration, and they built a company around this philosophy that offers a full range of services in event planning, design, and execution.

"Our philosophy is that the best weddings are not just beautiful, they are felt," they say. Every project begins by listening to what matters to the couple, how they want their guests to feel, and the story they want to share. After that, the creative and planning process comes together smoothly. They often choose private estates, destination venues, and places with unique charm. Still, the most important thing for them is working with couples who trust the process and want a wedding that truly reflects who they are.

Lisi Korn Signature Events

What sets Lisi Korn Signature Events apart is its combination of large-scale projects and a personalized service approach. One of the firm's most telling details is what the team calls the "Lisi and Bride moment" - the quiet seconds right before the bride walks down the aisle, when Lisi hugs her, checks on her, and shares the excitement of what's about to happen.

Lisi founded this company after two decades in the corporate fashion industry, bringing her designer’s eye for cohesion, atmosphere, and ambiance to wedding planning at luxury resort destinations. The firm is known for creating what they call "eventscapes": celebrations that look and feel like movie scenes, built with creativity and originality, often from scratch in remote or unusual places. Their global logistics, strong vendor networks, and real understanding of each client's culture and traditions help everything come together smoothly, no matter where the celebration takes place.

The team focuses on full-service wedding planning and design, especially for destination weddings. They manage everything in-house, from finding the perfect location to planning logistics and running multi-day events. Each celebration is designed to reflect a family's legacy and capture the unique spirit of the place.

This same level of perfectionism extends to the celebration of other important events beyond weddings: anniversaries, surprise birthday parties, corporate retreats, and prestigious client events - all of which are organized with the same meticulous attention to detail to create unforgettable experiences and emotions. Company founder Laurie Arons is known for creating an atmosphere that transports guests to another world.

A Good Affair Wedding & Event Production

Art was second nature to Natalie Good. From a young age, she painted, sketched, and imagined beautiful spaces. It was this instinct that eventually led her to organize events where creativity and hospitality could come together in a single space.

"What excites me most is often what guests never fully see: the orchestration behind the scenes, the anticipation of needs before they arise, and the ability to create an atmosphere where the couple can truly be present and enjoy their celebration," she says. Natalie has more than 20 years of experience in event planning, including 16 years leading A Good Affair Wedding & Event Production. Her company provides a complete range of services, from choosing the venue to preparing welcome gifts. To her, true luxury is not just about appearances, but about creating an experience that feels smooth and thoughtful from start to finish.

Somer is the director of event planning, a true master at preventing crises, building client relationships, and overcoming obstacles. Lisa is the Creative Director, responsible for design aesthetics, artistic direction, and that refined touch for which the brand is renowned. Together, they have spent 15 years building one of the leading wedding-planning companies in the United States. They describe themselves as yin and yang, which perfectly explains why A Charming Fête is so successful.

"Creating moments of joy and leaving guests wowed by a sumptuous, yet seemingly effortless experience is always the end goal," they say. Only comprehensive planning and design, fully tailored to each couple’s needs, with no pre-packaged services. Full-service planning and design only, entirely tailored to each couple with no predefined packages - that's how Lisa and Somer work. Inspiration comes from travel, interior design, and fashion, not from passing trends. For Lisa and Somer, this means creating unique spaces from the ground up, with bold details and multisensory experiences that guests remember long after the evening ends.

Wedding Erah

Farhan Fallahi began his career in fashion design, working on bridal gowns, concept shoots, and collections. Over time, he realized he was missing the part he cared about most: connecting with people. That changed in 2020 when he helped with a family member's wedding. By October, he had planned his first wedding, a 50-person celebration during COVID, which he calls the perfect introduction. Three years later, he left his regular job to focus full-time on building Wedding Erah

The planning process begins with a questionnaire that goes far beyond the wedding itself: favorite travel destinations, art and antique collections, interior design styles they like, and colors and flowers they do or do not like. Based on this, the team creates a comprehensive design booklet that visually illustrates every aspect of the day, even before a single vendor has been booked. Vendors are chosen to fit the vision, not the other way around. "Wedding Erah is for the modern couple looking for something beyond the expected - couples who are not afraid to break tradition and redefine what a wedding can feel like," he says.

Kiran + Leigh

A wedding weekend should feel like a great vacation that guests remember and talk about long after it ends. That’s the idea Chelsea Wenner and Natalie Laskowski used to create Kiran + Leigh. After 15 years of working together and sharing a vision for design and hospitality, they offer full-service planning tailored to each couple. This approach creates destination weddings that feel effortless and personal for everyone involved.

Kiran + Leigh start by building trust and listening carefully - to how the couple typically welcomes guests, what emotions they want their guests to take away, and what kind of experience matters most to them. All design decisions and logistical details are shaped by this understanding, rather than being copied from others’ examples.

Wild Heart Events

Jaime Kostechko grew up in an environment connected to interior design and laid the foundation for her career in hotel management, which is why wedding planning became, for her, not so much a career choice as a natural extension of her path.

She founded Wild Heart Events in Santa Barbara, and fifteen years later, the company works with couples from all over the world. Hospitality is the company`s blueprint. This philosophy guides them in everything they do, from the first planning call to the final dance. "I want every event to feel like it could only ever belong to that one couple, in that one moment," Jaime says. Her design draws inspiration from rustic Spanish fincas, Moroccan textiles, Australian architecture, and Jungalow living. These global influences help her work feel fresh and original, not generic. The firm handles everything from event design and vendor management to travel logistics and day-of coordination.

Alison travels about 100,000 miles each year to discover new destinations and connect with leading venues around the globe. This commitment shows just how dedicated the firm is to its work.

In addition to weddings, the company organizes off-site events, birthday parties, corporate events, and provides consulting services for luxury travel. Marcy Blum Associates

Marcy Blum launched Marcy Blum Associates in 1986 after graduating from the Culinary Institute of America and spending years as a chef and co-owner of several New York City restaurants. When clients started asking her to coordinate parties outside the restaurants, a forty-year career in wedding and event planning began.

As Marcy says, their philosophy is simple: fun and elegance aren’t mutually exclusive. They offer comprehensive planning and discuss many details in advance. They prefer venues that can be customized to suit your taste, with no time or noise restrictions, and that offer a real room for creativity. Over forty years of work, this approach has not changed.

There are twenty wedding planners here, each with their own creative style. What unites them is their ability to make every couple feel truly special. In such a large market, this isn’t always easy. Our advice from Wezoree: don’t choose a planner just because you like their style. Pay attention to how they talk about their couples, how they handle surprises, and whether their approach suits you. The right planner can transform not only your wedding day but the entire planning process. You can view their full profiles on Wezoree. Check them out and find the one that’s right for you.
