It all began in 2011, during those innocent days of the 8th grade. They were young, their hearts untamed by the world around them, and swiftly, they became each other's anchor. Their love story wasn't without its tests; being in different schools throughout high school and college presented challenges. Yet, they held onto their promise.
As time ticked on, their love didn't wane but instead flourished, transforming from adolescent affection to mature devotion.
Twelve years after their fateful first meeting, they chose an emblematic venue for their union: Oheka Castle, “the same venue where Nick’s Senior prom was hosted in 2015, which we took for granted at the time,” said Jessica.
Jessica eagerly shared details about the morning preparations. Invitations were designed by It’s My Party By KD. As for the rings, “We designed them through our jeweler. I love how Nick’s ring came out - it is so unique with a row of black diamonds in the center," she gushed.
As for her special jewelry, she shared, “I wanted to keep my jewelry simple on my wedding day and let the dress be the statement. I wore beautiful earrings from our incredible jeweler, Danny, at Mayfair Prive.”
They also worked with Jennifer B Events for their wedding stationery, from napkins to table numbers.
Choosing the right wedding dress was a journey for Jessica. "Netta Benshabu designed my wedding dress," she shared, recalling her numerous visits to shops, including two trips to Kleinfeld.
It was at Boca Raton Bridal that she finally found 'the one'. "I finally went to Boca Raton Bridal, where I tried on my wedding dress for the first time after finding it on Instagram, and I instantly knew it was the dress. No other dresses had come close to this one, and I am so happy with my choice." During her getting-ready photoshoot with Jaymo, she wore a pair of stunning diamond earrings and her elegant Sophia Webster pearl heels. The bouquet? A gorgeous blend of orchids, roses, and calla lilies by Flowers by Brian.
Nick looked dashing in a custom tuxedo by J. Hilburn. The getting-ready photoshoot took place at Oheka Castle.
Oh, the anticipation! The couple chose Oheka Castle's front cobblestone driveway for their first look. Nick's reaction? "My first thought was shock at how different the dress was than I was expecting… in a good way of course. She looked absolutely stunning and I was beyond excited to marry my wife that day," he admitted.
Jessica confessed she was hoping he'd love the dress as much as she did, “I spent so much time and effort picking out this dress that I wanted him to think it was perfect as well.”
"Jaymo is so creative and knows Oheka Castle very well, so I let him decide where we should take our photos," Jessica said. "I trusted his judgment more than I trusted my own."
Jessica walked down the aisle to 'Perfect' by Ed Sheeran. They incorporated Jewish traditions into their ceremony, including using her late grandfather's tallit. Their vows were the most special moment. “Being together for 11 years, Nick and I know almost everything there is to know about someone else. It’s hard to put 11 years of your life into a few sentences, but Nick conveyed his love so perfectly and I spoke from the heart - both of us were tearing up at that moment.”
The newlyweds had their post-ceremony photoshoot right at Oheka, captivated by its beauty. "There was no reason to go anywhere else," Jessica said confidently.
Dreamy whites, beiges, pale pinks, and golds dominated the wedding's color palette. "We customized a logo that was used throughout all of our decor, and I absolutely loved it," Jessica added, beaming with pride.
"I had always known I wanted to get married at Oheka. After touring 10+ venues and weighing out our options, we did not want to get married anywhere else other than the Castle."
Love and joy filled the air during the reception. For their first dance, the couple chose 'Love Someone' by Lukas Graham. And the cake? “We were really proud of the design of our cake. 5 layers alternating raspberry and hazelnut. There were two layers with ombre pearls and three layers that had faux rose petals. It was truly unbelievable.”
They also had signature drinks “A Lychee Martini (for Jessica) and a Whisky Smash (for Nick)."
Their wedding team, from the photographers to the videographers and florists, was top-notch. "I had the most amazing vendors! They all went above and beyond to make my day so special," she expressed gratefully.
"I want to give a special shout-out to my photographer, Jaymo Jaymes, who captured the day beautifully - these are the moments I will cherish forever and I couldn’t have pictured a better photographer on my wedding day."
