Top 10 A picture is worth a thousand words, but a true photograph is a moment forever captured in time. It’s a still image that tells a story of love, fear, wanting and need. I’ve always been a story teller, using the light and color seized through my camera lens. That still image is bond between myself and my subject, and with each snap of the shutter, that piece of glass fades away into a shared experience between us. A far cry from the glitz of the Sunset Strip, I grew up in a small town in Alabama. A child of nature and imagination, my simple, southern upbringing encouraged me to find beauty in the everyday. It also taught me about hard work. I always go the extra mile to take care of my clients during a shoot. While I am a photojournalistic photographer I also compose and direct shots through the wedding day when needed. I understand that being in front of the camera can be scary and I never allow my clients to feel alone. We are in this together.

Jana is the most incredible and talented photographer. We hired Jana for our engagement session and wedding day. They say it's so important to hire someone you feel a connection with since you pretty much spend the majority of the day with your photographer. Jana's personality is just amazing. She is so relaxed and easy going but very professional. She really knows how to loosen you up and create natural moments. We never had to fake a smile once our whole session. She really makes you feel comfortable so that you feel like youre just hanging out with friends, which is so important. Then when you get your pictures back you get these gorgeous pictures of real moments. I'm so lucky I got to book Jana and now I have these great pictures to remember the most important day of my life. She really understands how to capture those special moments. She's such an amazing person and photographer. I would highly recommend her!!!
Not only is Jana's photography beautiful but she is a gem to work with! We are so happy we were able to have her photograph our wedding as we were able to enjoy every moment knowing that we were in good hands with her capturing this special evening!
We hired Jana to shoot our wedding and engagement photos for our wedding in June 2019 based on her amazing wedding wire reviews and after stalking her blog. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer! She, and her assistant Vivian, were on time, easy to get ahold of, gave great directions (we aren't models!), and took the MOST BEAUTIFUL photos we've ever seen! There was an incredibly quick turnaround and we got over 900 beautifully edited images of every detail and memory of our big day. Her experience, as well as her extremely warm and outgoing personality, made us and our family/bridal party feel so comfortable, which resulted in genuine and natural photographs. I recommend her to every single person I know with a wedding/engagement in the future!
Jana is THE BEST! Not only is she so talented, but she is just a kind and wonderful person. From our initial phone call, Jana had such positive energy that we knew we needed to have her be a part of our big day. She is truly a joy to work with and really goes above and beyond for her clients. Not to mention she captures such special moments so beautifully. We feel so honored to be photographer by her for our engagement photos and wedding day.
