Top 5 Our stories would essentially be impossible to tell without both. They connect us to emotions, core memories, and, most importantly, each other. When I reflect on my path to the present, I’ve always leaned heavily into the visual side of storytelling. And so my college studies in graphic design led me to a traditional 9-5 job to put my artistic eye to work.
It wasn’t until I saw one of life’s most intimate chapters–my wedding day–preserved through photography and cinematography that I knew this was the visual storytelling piece I wanted to be a part of. My craft as a wedding and portrait photographer in Northern Virginia brings so much purpose and meaning to my life. (So don’t be surprised when I tear up behind the camera.) For that reason alone, I’m honored to be the curator of milestones through an understated, unrushed lens – slowing down and taking notice of what matters most to you.

I knew from the moment we added Wolfcrest to our list that Sara and her work was the best. In fact, it stood out so superior to our other considerations that to even think of pursuing her as our wedding photographer felt like a guilty luxury. Imagining our own memories framed through the lens of Sara's composition felt so indulgent that we were reluctant to even consider the possibility initially, and so we continued the 'process'. But when we finished our lengthy exercise, every pro and con enumerated, inevitably it only could have ever been Wolfcrest.
Now, our photos read like a story book. Wolfcrest elevated our wedding's niche theme to an otherwordly romantic event. In these photos, my wife resembles a renaissance ideal of beauty. Looking at our photos feels like the guilty pleasure I knew they would be the first time we saw what Sara can do.

Sara listened to us during the entire process, but most importantly on our wedding day, when she definitely shined! She was a calm but fun presence, and is just a good energy to have with you on such a big day that can be stressful. It rained on our wedding day, and Sara did not let that get in the way of her work - she listened to what we wanted (take pictures in the rain, and get cover when we felt it was too wet) -- she quickly problem solved to help us find covered places to take pictures with family, and did not let any of this fluster her process. We had more than plenty of shots of us and with family despite the rain.
I would recommend Sara to any friends looking for a photographer for their wedding day, engagement pics, or family portraits. Sara and her assistant were everyone's (my friends, family, and in-laws) favorite people that worked with us on our wedding day - and we have so many beautiful shots to remember them by. We first met Sara at our engagement shoot and we’re blown away by the breathtaking pictures she captured! She has a vision and she captures it in the most beautiful way!
