It was an art deco 1920’s Gatsby inspired wedding with thoughtful details like feathers in the flower arrangements, a custom venue illustration on matchboxes at each place setting, vintage crystal dishes, soft candle lighting, a neon sign with the couple’s last name delicately placed on a marble fireplace mantel framing the great hall where dinner was served, and custom cocktail napkins. They also had a vintage black and white Photobooth from Fotio that tied perfectly into the theme.
Francesco and Jessica met almost 9 years ago.
The bride designed the invitations in Canva and had them printed at a local print shop - Maximum Printing and Graphics. Jessica drew each of the 3 venue illustrations.
Their rings the couple bought at Cartier in Paris on the Champs Elysees when they visited a few months before their wedding in May of 2022. Francesco’s ring was the last size available in the style he wanted in all of Paris - they transferred it from another Cartier store in Paris. It was such a memorable experience for the bride and groom.
The first wedding dress was designed by Pronovias. It was the third dress she tried on the first time Jessica went shopping. Her reception dress was by Theia and was very 1920’s inspired which went perfectly with the theme.
Jessica's favorite design element was her headpiece from Ellee Couture Boutique. The bride accomplished her look with a simple cathedral-length veil and blue Manolo Blahnik shoes. Jessica chose white roses from Shamrock Garden Florist in Lombard, IL for her bouquet.
Francesco got ready at his parent’s home surrounded by his close family and friends. His tuxedo was designed by Gentlemen’s Quarters Formalwear in Elmhurst, IL.
The ceremony took place at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Westmont. They first see each other when Jessica was walking down the aisle. Francesco was astonished by Jessica’s beauty.
The couple took all of their photos at The Armour House. The beautiful, romantic details of the venue were the perfect backdrop.
For their wedding, Francesco and Jessica chose the Armour House in Lake Fiorest, IL. The venue was a historic mansion filled with marble floors, fireplace mantels, a grand staircase and gorgeous windows overlooking lush gardens. The color palette was white and ivory with hints of green and gold.
They had personalized matchboxes at each table setting. One side had their names and wedding date and the other had a drawing of the Armour House that Jessica drew.
Joining hands with each other as they met from either side of the grand staircase and walked down into the great hall where they were introduced as husband and wife before dinner was a special moment they will remember forever. Just Like This by Coldplay & The Chainsmokers, which was playing that special moment, will always be associated with their happiest moments.
