Kristen was absolutely terrific. Pete and I had no idea what we should or should not do or what needed to be done. Kristen was a natural and was able to conquer our awkward-selves and our photos came out absolutely magical and beyond what we were even expecting.
Kristen was extremely professional and very receptive to our style. I was a bit chaotic that morning, obviously, but she was calm, cool, and direct.
One of the things I admire most about our photos were the playfulness with the natural lighting/shadows. This is what separates a general photographer from an experienced and talented photographer. She knew when pete and I needed to do another photo (pending sunsets, etc) and she would come grab us to make sure that shot got taken. She would evaluate the rooms for us to take pictures in and how she could best utilize the natural lighting.
I feel like I need to mention that it was also an extremely hot day. Kristen already had this taken into consideration. When it came for family shots and wedding party - she had a great area in the shade already set and immediate after the church was able to lead everyone out of the church and directly over to the shaded area to get all the standard photos put of the way without sweating too much (thank you!).

Kristen is the absolute best! She had photographed my brothers wedding back in 2017, and as soon as we got engaged both my husband and I knew we wanted to hire her for our wedding. She was the first vendor we booked after we secured our venue and we could not be happier with our photos! Kristen is so friendly and takes a lot of candid and more easy going photos, not only all the typical poses. She fits right in with the wedding, at one point during our reception, my husband told me he kept forgetting she wasn’t just one of our friends. We cannot recommend her enough!

Kristen guided us through planning ahead of time, and also shared great ideas and recommendations (especially as a local to Poughkeepsie, for us as non-locals we appreciated this!)  The day of our wedding, she was a rockstar! She managed the pre-ceremony photos (including a lot of family photos) artfully, had creative ideas for photos, and even came through with random things like heel protectors for our outdoor ceremony.  During the ceremony and reception, she was efficient, discrete, and seemed to somehow always be right there when we wanted to get a quick photo of something or with someone!
And, most important, the sneak peek photos we received were amazing!! Thank you for doing such an amazing job capturing our day!!

If you are reading this, please hire Kristen IMMEDIATELY! After nailing down our date and venue, photography was the first vendor I wanted to book and Kristen was the first photographer I came upon and reached out to. I was immediately drawn to her website and how beautiful/stunning/incredible all her couples and photographs were, and that she shared values that were super important to both me and my (now) husband. Kristen was very laid back and easy to talk to during our first phone call and subsequent messages and I kept comparing every other photography vendor I spoke with to her. An old friend's glowing recommendation (after seeing her wedding photos on Kristen's website) sealed the deal and we booked Kristen for our engagement shoot and 10/9/2021 wedding. We also booked her right as COVID quarantining was going into effect, which we were so lucky for. Not only did she send the sweetest 'welcome' package to us (which shows how much she cares about her clients) but in the subsequent months she was someone I could reach out and talk to about any COVID worries about our wedding I had and any photo inspirations I came across. A year out from our wedding we finally were able to meet in person for our engagement shoot at Bear Mountain and the three of us had the best day. Kristen gave direction for 'posing' but everything was extremely natural and carefree - nothing she asked us to do actually felt posed, and our dreamy engagement pictures are proof of that. (While we were walking around the lake at Bear Mountain we saw other couples as well taking VERY staged photographs (and throwing fake fall leaves in the air) to which my husband Alan said "Thank goodness Kristen isn't making us do that.")
Almost a year later, it was finally our wedding day, and I cannot praise Kristen enough for how beautifully she photographed every moment of our day. Kristen was extremely professional and easy to work with. She helped to keep us and our day on schedule and worked SO well with our bridal party when we were taking our bridal party pictures. She went with all our jokes in stride and laughed with us (and had a killer playlist playing while we were taking pictures, which led to a few singalongs). She truly captured the excitement, joy and love between my husband and I so naturally and beautifully. She sent us some sneak peek pictures the day after our wedding (which was such a treat to receive) and I can't stop looking at them and sharing them, and cannot wait to receive all our wedding photos.
If there is any vendor to truly invest in for your wedding, it's photography and I am so thankful we did with Kristen. You will not regret booking LBF for your wedding!!

Okay, first of all - hire Kristen. Now. Where to start? When we first sent her a general inquiry, she responded by texting us a personalized video with a a bit about herself and how she works, which was very cute and warm, and we instantly liked her. As soon as we had a  video call with her, we knew she was our photographer! First of all, she obviously takes amazing photos. She is very cool and chill and you feel comfortable around her. So down to earth and professional. She sent us a detailed questionnaire before the wedding with thoughtful questions like "are their relationships or dynamics I should be aware about?" We really appreciated that because both my wife and I have no contact with our parents and we warned her that there will be no father-daughter dances and the like. It was also a priority for us to find someone who was LGBTQ-sensitive because this was the the most gay-ass wedding and she did amazing in that department. She even brought little thingies to put on the femmes' stilettos so they can walk on the grass without getting stuck. Such attention to detail. She checked in with us just the right amount, while making sure we didn't feel burdened and were able to enjoy ourselves. A lot of the other photographers we looked at were way more expensive and we had a more modest budget, so she worked with us and we appreciated it so, so much. Literally the morning after the wedding, she sent us the video from the ceremony and a sneak peak with 37 photos. Again - so prompt, attentive and on top of it. And sweet too! Thank you, Kristen, for making us feel so comfortable and documenting such an important day. Guess we'll have to become one of those families that take winter photos and send them out as holiday cards because we wanna hire you again!

From my very first email exchange with Kristen, she was prompt, professional, courteous, and helpful. She went far beyond the call of duty in helping me remotely locate a spot to propose, provided photo examples of lighting and scenery, and even shared a tutorial on how to get to the exact spot. I'd have been a nervous wreck without all her help leading up to the moment and because of everything she did, I was able to be fully present with my partner (who's now my fiancée!), sharing and enjoying the moment without any concern for all the what-ifs I had in the weeks leading up to the proposal. We were so blown away with the photos, the lighting, her posing and direction, and the way she made everything feel and look so comfortable and natural. Kristen's communication was lightning fast through everything and she never left me with any concern or question. We will absolutely be calling her back when we start planning for the wedding, and likely inquiring soon about the possibility of some fun shots with our cats as well

Kristen was AMAZING to work with. Leading up to our engagement she worked closely with my fiancé to scout the perfect location, sent pictures ahead of time, and helped him come up with the perfect time to do it. Right before he proposed, I had no idea that she was there to take pictures. She captured every second of our special day and sent over our pictures so timely. I could not recommend her more. Thanks to her we will be able to relive this special day over and over.

We cannot thank you enough for being our photographer on our special day. The sneak peak got us misty eyed as we relived our wedding day. You were very professional, easy to work with, and so very talented. We love the fun candid photos. And the photos in with the greenery! Yes! I will go into the thickest of bushes again for those photos! We had good vibes working with you on our engagement photos, and those came out so amazing. So we knew our wedding photos would be top quality. And you went above and beyond the photography: you made sure I stayed hydrated, you held my train as I traversed the thick lawn, you picked out bits of nature in my tulle, you made sure I stopped to chill in the AC for a bit, and above all, you made sure Thanh & I were comfortable through it all. Thank you so much, Kristen! We cannot wait to work with you again for special occasions. We highly recommend you to all of our friends and family.

Kristen, fr om Little But Fierce Photography, was absolutely amazing, both as a photographer and as a professional. From my very first outreach to her, she was incredibly responsive and consistently went above and beyond when helping me both prepare for and execute a very elaborate surprise proposal. Kristen was instrumental in helping me determine the shooting location for the initial proposal, and when it rained the morning of, she helped come up with an alternative plan. I really don't think the day would have gone as well as it did without her support (and dozens of emails leading up to the day!).
Kristen came to several shooting locations throughout the course of the day, and had that rare ability to be present everywhere to capture the 9 of us, but be completely unobtrusive. She found really amazing moments that each of the 9 of us had, and without her being able to document these experiences, we each would not have understood the joy of the day in so comprehensive of a way. Her skill, both in shooting and in knowing wh ere to shoot, helped make the day what it was.
Kristen had a super fast turnaround time for our pictures (including sending a "best of" album within a couple of hours!). The pictures were stunning. We have already used them for our wedding website, our save the dates, and for our invitations. There were so many amazing options to choose from, we've been looking for excuses to use the pictures.
Kristen is absolutely fantastic, and if she's not already booked, should absolutely be reserved for any special day you may have!!
