Choosing a photographer was no easy task. However, the biggest advice we received after getting engaged was to invest in a quality photographer, and we are so glad we did! Vanessa’s style was perfectly in line with my husband and I’s vision for our wedding day. I loved her sweet and romantic point of view, and the brilliant coloring of her photos! Looking back at our photos brings our wedding day back to life and that is a true gift for my husband and I. Vanessa also was a value to have while planning our wedding. She was responsive, organized, and provided lots of helpful guidance. This is imperative for any couple! I cannot recommend Vanessa more highly!

Nathan and I feel so blessed and lucky we came across Vanessa and her team at XO and Fetti! Vanessa went above and beyond from the beginning of our wedding planning process to the end. We are very happy we booked her for both our engagement session and our wedding day. From the beginning, Vanessa was organized, professional, detail-oriented, and extremely responsive.

We are both amateurs and awkward when it comes to posing for photos! Vanessa guides you through each pose and the photos came out looking natural, romantic, and classy --- everything we wanted it to be! Vanessa asks you to fill out a short guide prior to the photo session so she gets all of the details perfectly. She also allows you to submit inspiration photos to your private client portal.

Our wedding was the typical Vietnamese wedding with over 250 guests and multiple days and events – tea ceremomy, church, location and multiple outfit changes, and very chaotic. Vanessa remained calm throughout the entire wedding and also made it fun for us. She hops on a detailed call with you prior to the wedding, makes the most meticulous wedding day timeline of photos. She captured every single photo we wanted with every single guest. The photos she captured were not just photos… she turned them into romantic art! Take a look for yourself!

Nathan and I are forever grateful for Vanessa and the beautiful photos from our wedding. Not only is she the BEST at what she does, she is also a very kind and compassionate person. She is an absolute treasure and artist!

Vanessa was so wonderful to work with from start to finish! She is so sweet and made us both feel comfortable in front of the camera, so we could truly be ourselves. From our engagement photos to the wedding day, Vanessa was organized, responsive, and captured the most gorgeous photos and moments!! Her photos are beautiful, natural, romantic and timeless! Although our engagement session and wedding venue were both in the Bay Area, she had no problem traveling here from Southern CA to help us capture our engagement shoot and wedding day! On the wedding day, she was organized and truly produced the most incredible photos/memories of the whole day. She took all the preplanned photos we asked for beforehand, but also let the day unfold organically and captured every beautiful moment of it! All of our friends and family are RAVING about how much the loved the photos she took. The complete wedding album she put together captured every moment throughout the day so well and we will cherish these memories and photos forever. My husband and I both truly loved working with Vanessa and would 100000% recommend her for any photo/event needs!

My husband and I are the biggest fans of Vanessa!! She is actually the one vendor we contacted without waiting to get our planner’s recommendations because we fell in love in love with her photos (and of course, our vendor recommended her without even knowing we had already called her haha). And since both my husband and I are hobby photographers with our first hangouts being photoshoots, photography was a top priority. From the intro phone call, we knew she was our photographer. She made us feel so comfortable and she has such wonderful energy! But even so, we couldn’t imagine how beautiful our photos would come out. There’s one photo I really wanted but our wedding was on a harsh sunny day (100F) so capturing that photo was not on my mind, if anything, I worried about the harsh lighting for every photo. But yet she captured that magical moment and more!! Every family member told us how surprised they were, the photos came out so much better than they could have imagined too - Vanessa’s work is priceless. Our wedding is one special day and now we have it memorialized through her beautiful talented photography.

Where do I begin to talk about how awesome Vanessa and her team are at XO and Fetti?! First off, can we start with the name! Vanessa was genius to come up with such a fun and catchy name for her business and that certainly attracted me (in conjunction with her romantic and artsy work!) to follow her on Instagram in 2020! Right as I started to wedding plan, Vanessa was so generous in having a giveaway, so I tagged so many of my friends and my fiance to try to win such a wonderful opportunity! A few weeks later, I won! Oh how happy I was to be able to win something like a photoshoot because my husband and I are camera shy and do not know how to pose lol. It was so meant to be with Vanessa, she has the kindest and most genuine personality and is such a natural behind the camera!! My fiance and I were so nervous meeting her for our engagement shoot, but she made us so comfortable and was very helpful with directions to capture such romantic photos! We coud not recognize ourselves for a second! We loved connecting with Vanessa through our love for Disney and travel, we knew we not only a photographer but friend for life!

Vanessa and Claudia captured our wedding and again helped with our wedding jitters and nerves! They both blew us out of the water with their eyes for capturing the perfect pictures throughout the day. My husband and I were nervous, because we are highly critical of ourselves in pictures and I have to say we LOVED every picture. They both made us feel amazing and very comfortable throughout the whole event! We are still on a wedding high when we reminisce through the pictures of our February wedding! TRUST ME when I say you will not go wrong with booking Vanessa and her team to capture any special moments in your life! She will make you glow and see yourself in ways you did not picture yourself before ;)

Vanessa and Claudia are simply the best you will find. We had been working with Vanessa over a year from engagement photos, to planning for the wedding, and wedding day and we truly can’t say enough good things. She is so organized and genuinely cares about the outcome of your wedding and your photos. It is so clear how passionate she is about photography as an art AND as YOUR wedding memorabilia. On the wedding day, Vanessa and Claudia had the most perfect presence. You spend most of your time with your photographers on wedding day - so choose wisely! We were so happy we chose XO because they both were so kind, calm, and excited for us!! It was exactly what we needed on such a crazy but important day. And lastly, the photos speak for themselves.. but Vanessa/Claudia take such gorgeous shots and their editing tops it all off. We have already received SO MANY compliments on how beautiful our sneak peek photos turned out.. If you’re debating hiring XO, the debate is over..seriously!! Just do it!! They are amazing! ☺️

Hands down, Vanessa is the best wedding photographer! Please look no further and hire her now! When someone loves what they do, you can tell. Her incredible work is a direct reflection of the passion she has for wedding photography. I admire her for always learning, striving, and honing her craft. A colleague of mine hired Vanessa in 2017 and I've been a fan of her work since. I knew who would be my wedding photographer before I met my husband! Haha.

Vanessa is both personable and professional. She genuinely cares for her clients and goes above and beyond. I honestly think she should charge way more for her services. I did still research other photographers to compare pricing/ packages. A well-known photographer in San Diego has a similar style and charges a lot more than Vanessa. However, that vendor lacked warmth and kindness and left me feeling like just another source of income. That was not the case for Vanessa at all. She was enthusiastic and lovely from our very first contact.

Moreover, Vanessa is quick to respond to all communication and is extremely organized. She provides a lot of information and assists with all the details for preparation. I never once worried about the photography aspect of wedding planning. I was also able to ask her for tips/ advice outside the topic of photography.

During the engagement shoot and wedding day, she and Claudia (her associate photographer) provided guidance on posing/ prompts you on what to do. This was very important as my husband and I are not naturals. They remained calm and patient throughout the busy wedding day. She provided sneak peeks within days and the full gallery in a timely manner. I’ve had such a hard time going through and picking favorites because I love it all.

I am so grateful to have such beautiful photographs of the wedding day, family, friends, and of course, my husband!

Vanessa and her team were absolute professionals and experts in their field. On our most stressful day of our lives, Vanessa and her team kept us at ease on track according to our itinerary. Pictures were absolutely beautiful and captured every aspect of our big day. Everything from start to finish, my time with Vanessa was easy and seamless. She really took the time to get to know us as a couple and all the details that went into the planning.
I hardly knew Vanessa and her assistant were at the wedding taking our photos, that’s how good she is.
On our honeymoon we received our wedding gallery was such a sweet surprise and the perfect occasion. I highly recommend booking Vanessa for any special event photos.

Photographer XO and Fettti About me

I’m a California native, born and raised in Los Angeles. I have always been a hopeless romantic, drawn to fairytales and timeless stories of true love. My husband and I are best friends and have been since we were teenagers. We met as next-door neighbors and although I have been taking pictures since I was a kid, it was my husband that helped me graduate from the disposable cameras of my childhood by giving me my first consumer film camera. We had a seven-year engagement and married after fourteen years of dating. There is no wrong way when it comes to love.

I started out under other photographers, working and building experience for three years. I launched XO and Fetti after discovering my own creative voice. I photographed the first XO and Fetti couple in June of 2016 and have had the honor of documenting many love stories since then! I want to build an experience for a couple from start to finish that only I can create.
