HELLO,I'M MARIAH
My story definitely begins with “I was born an artist.”
During my whole life I was around ballet, opera, paintings and movies; dancing, singing, painting and acting myself! That was always my life for as long as I can remember until after the MBA, “life got serious” -my parents said!- because for them being an artist wasn’t a serious career… so I ended developing a career in government and international affairs that lead me to travel around the world, live in multiples countries and learn different languages.
Although I had a very happy life, I was always missing the ability to express myself through art and It wasn’t until I got married that I fell in love with weddings and with wedding photography. Two things made click in my head and in my heart; the beauty of love and such and important union & the beauty of creating art through photography. That is when I FOUND MYSELF and this NYC wedding photographer was born!!

There’s so much I can say about Mariah and her team, but if I had to describe our experience in two words: “Chef’s Kiss!”
We actually received the referral from our florist for our destination wedding in Riviera Maya. We contacted several photographers, but when I saw Mariah’s work and then met her, I instantly knew she was the one! She could capture my wedding in the way I envisioned.
When I met Mariah, her spirit, personality, and approach to business eased my concerns that came with planning a large destination wedding. She took the time to explain things while we worked on the timeline together, she met with us several times and even worked within our budget when I had last minute changes. As the bride, I was so nervous. Mariah was so gracious and accommodating. She truly puts the client first. She even came to the site visit and stayed while we worked through other details providing integral insight based on her past experiences when we were making last minute decisions. I completely trusted her, and she did not disappoint!
Our wedding photos and video are timeless and beautiful. Mariah independently scoped all the areas of our entire venue and from there, the magic began. She had a vision and she produced a product beyond what I could have ever imagined. When we received our photos and videos, I was in literal tears because I had no idea she captured what she did.
Honestly, I do not consider myself to be photogenic and I am very awkward on camera but with Mariah’s direction, we look like models. She directed our poses naturally. More importantly, she kept us on schedule to ensure we could make the best use of our time. It’s the small things that can have a tremendous impact on the outcome. For example, on the wedding day, Mariah advised us to switch sides due to wind. She knew it would affect the photos and video and said something and it completely changed the outcome.
Listen, there are a lot of photographers and cinematographers out there; trust me, we know! But, if you want someone who is experienced and can produce a quality, high-end product; someone who is passionate, has vision, and is committed to perfecting their craft; and even more, someone who kind, professional and accommodating, then Mariah is the person for you— hands down. I don't even know where to begin. Hiring Mariah was one of the best decisions I made. I knew when I saw her work I would love my pictures but after speaking to her on the phone I knew I would love her. Her big personality and passion for what she does made her an absolute pleasure to work with. From the minute she showed up to the minute she left she gave 100%. She knew the vision I wanted and did everything in her power to bring It to life. Not only do I love her professionally but as a person Mariah is the kindest, hardest working person. It is important to have a relationship and the minute I met Mariah It felt like I knew her forever. Could not recommend her more. I can't wait for my next event so we can work together again!!! It’s difficult to fully describe how amazing Mariah is. When it comes to her photographs, Mariah has a vision that makes her clients feel and look beautiful and will stop at nothing to get them the images they want. From our engagement shoot to our wedding day, Mariah captured every single moment in a way that is so uniquely striking. Seriously, my husband and I have always said we are not photographic people, but when we look at her images of us we think “damn, we belong in a Vogue ad!” She’ll stop at nothing to get the right angles and tell an amazing story that we are lucky enough to share visually with our loved ones for years to come. Looking at her portfolio speaks for itself - she’s one of the best. But one of the truly amazing things about Mariah is her personality: fun, outgoing, professional. I honestly don’t know how my fiancé was able to choose the absolute best photographer during his surprise proposal! Not only did Mariah capture the best shots, her charming personality was radiant all throughout the shoot which made me extremely comfortable to just be myself. I think her portfolio speaks for her phenomenal skills- she really can capture a perfect moment, or even better- can make a moment perfect with her magical vision. If you want to capture the most special moments of your life, Mariah should be your top choice. Words will not do justice to how immaculate her work is, so I’ll leave it up to her pictures to do the magic.
What can I say? Mariah is a genius. Her vision for photography is unmatched. Our pictures from our wedding weekend and our wedding reception not only came out perfect but they were also different than just regular portraits. Mariah always went the extra mile to capture the perfect shot. And if that wasn’t enough, Mariah has an infectious personality. There are wedding photographers, but then there are *wedding photographers*. Mariah is the latter. Mariah is an artist and true visionary. My husband and I were incredibly fortunate to have found her pre-pandemic and she stayed with us until our wedding just a few days ago. Mariah goes the extra mile and it shows. Mariah would check in and we have had multiple conversations leading up to the big day! She is very good at advocating for her bride and groom to get that shot and provides the best experience for those who are camera shy. Her photography style is intentional, beautiful, raw, and sophisticated. Her attention to detail and shots threw me for a loop! I felt so bridal, so ethereal. I would refer Mariah to anyone and would ever be so lucky to work with her again.
Mariah is the best photographer in town. Her charming personality and work ethics made her work unique and spectacular.
