We all know stories of newlyweds who have known each other since high school, and this couple is just proof of that. They were friends and reconnected after they both graduated college! Life brought them together and they have been together for a little over 6 years.
Covid has forced many people to rethink their values and understand how important is to have a loving person. It was during this period that Daniel proposed to Opeyemi in Portland Maine on August 8, 2020. For her, it turned out to be a complete surprise, because she did not expect to hear the cherished Will You Marry Me. It took a year and a half to plan their dream wedding.
The bride took care of the planning and organization of every detail with incredible diligence. She designed invitations on paperculture.com. A timeless and stylish invitation suite set the tone for the nuptials. The couple chose a neutral color scheme of white and acrylic with modern accents.
They always knew what wedding bands they want. “Daniel always knew I wanted a round diamond on a pave band and I always knew he wanted a mix of gold and white gold wedding band”.
Opeyemi opted for a sophisticated wedding dress by Pronovias. This brand makes breathtaking wedding dresses for fashion-forward brides like she is. The bride completed her incredible look with pearl studs, Rene Caovilla heels, a diamond tennis bracelet, and a cathedral-length veil.
Twistedwilliows created a masterpiece in the form of a wedding bouquet that harmoniously combined white orchids and baby's breath.
Chateau Grand Hotel became a perfect location for the getting-ready photoshoot. The bride was surrounded by her bridesmaids whose dresses were designed by Jenny Yoo.
The groom also went with a timeless look in the tuxedo by Alan David Custom in NYC.
Nestled midway between Manhattan and Philadelphia, the Park Château is not just a beautiful wedding venue, but its garden is a perfect place for the first look. The atmosphere reigning there is even more inspiring during the first look.
“I couldn’t believe I finally got to see my soon-to-be handsome husband and couldn’t stop smiling from ear to ear”, remembers Opeyemi.
Firstly, the first look was actually a prank by one of his best friends. And it gained millions of views on Instagram. Daniel was in tears and awe.
The couple picked the garden area since it captured one of the most beautiful parts of the venue and made them feel like they were in the south of France.
“Walking down the aisle was the most magical experience of my life”, Opeyemi says. For this special moment, she chose In Every Kind of Way by HER. They wrote love letters to each other and placed them in a wine box that they’ll open in 5 years.
“Always loved Park Chateau. It was always a dream venue of ours”
They both love to travel, have good taste, and enjoy exploring new restaurants. France is a special country for this couple, and as they started preparing for their wedding, they had a clear understanding that they wanted to bring the South of France to NJ. They chose one of the best locations for the wedding, Park Chateau.
“We wanted a very modern, editorial, and timeless wedding. With tons of architectural elements that the venue had.”
They were inspired by European weddings and tons of florals. The couple chose deeply romantic and soothing white that has been used for centuries to represent love and harmony. Inspiring black and acrylic added the necessary accents and gave it an even more modern look. For florals, they chose white roses, orchids, and baby's breath. Almost every detail was personalized.
