The wedding planning community in Cyprus is close-knit, and the competition is strong enough that only the best remain. The planners who stand out have earned their reputations through experience in hotels, corporate events, personal challenges, and even law. Wezoree carefully reviewed this market and selected five planners who truly represent the best of the best.

Elizabeth Murray's path into wedding planning started in hotels. She worked reception before, which moved her through reservations, groups, and events, a slow build rather than a single defining moment. The first wedding she ever planned was for her boss's daughter, at a country estate in the UK. From there, she went on to work at five-star hotels and resorts in Cyprus, and in 2020, she founded the company Weddings by Elizabeth Anne.

"Timeless over trendy, guest experience matters, beautiful but not excessive, and personal rather than production-line weddings," she says, summing up the company philosophy in a single breath. Everything is tailored to you. There are no set packages; you can choose full wedding planning, a weekend celebration, or an elopement. Her approach is organized and flexible, designed to fit into your life rather than take it over. As she says, that's exactly why people choose a planner.

Splendid Events

Her path into wedding planning began in Brussels, where she worked as an event, conference, and campaign developer for the European Commission. That background in managing high-level international events taught Melanie Potamitou a specific lesson: how to combine creativity with precision while navigating complex logistics and high expectations. Fifteen years later, Splendid Events runs on those same instincts. "Luxury is not only about aesthetics, but it's also about emotion, personalization, and the way people feel throughout the entire journey," says Melanie.

They don’t offer set packages. Instead, every couple gets a custom approach tailored to what they truly need, whether that means full destination wedding planning or help with specific parts of the process. Their team is most inspired by sophisticated destination celebrations that reflect each couple’s unique personality, especially when we can combine elegant style with real, heartfelt stories. The studio works with a multidisciplinary team of planners, designers, florists, stylists, and interior designers, all collaborating closely so every aesthetic and experiential detail feels cohesive rather than pieced together.

IKEBANA

"I find inspiration in everyday life - from art, nature, architecture, the moon, flowers, music, and even small moments or feelings," says Daphne Mappouridou, founder of IKEBANA. The name itself is a tribute: her grandmother had established one of Cyprus's first Ikebana flower-arranging organizations, and after her grandmother's death in 2019, Daphne honored that legacy by naming her business after it.

She worked as a lawyer until the pandemic made her rethink what was important. In May 2020, when wedding planning was still a small market in Cyprus, she started Ikebana. She didn`t expect much, but she was driven by passion and a real love for creating meaningful experiences. Almost six years in, her range of inspiration shows in the variety of her work, from a Christmas-themed wedding combined with a baby's christening to celebrations shaped entirely around what each couple brings to the table. She offers structured packages but is just as ready to build something custom, believing every wedding should feel personal and intentional rather than repeated from one couple to the next.

M.O. Weddings

Maria Oxinos moved to Cyprus and found something she wanted to share: an island that was more than sea and sunshine, with a cultural depth most visitors never see. Every celebration at M.O. Weddings is fully customized, often extending beyond planning to include full wedding weekend organization, guest logistics, and international entertainment coordination for destination weddings.

The weddings she loves most are those that bring together different traditions, blending modern aesthetics with the authentic spirit of Cyprus. "Very often couples do not yet know how they want their wedding day to feel, and then we build it together, step by step, almost like building a home brick by brick," she says.

Fresh Events

Fresh Events believes that every successful event starts with a great story. They begin by listening and getting to know each couple, then turn what matters most to them into a celebration that feels unique and thoughtfully planned.

Their logo reflects their mindset. It features a stylized anemone, with the center showing tables where guests come together in harmony. The petals that reach outward symbolize the opportunity to create something new for each client. They handle weddings, birthdays, private parties, themed events, and corporate occasions, with dedicated destination-planning services that help couples navigate the unique stress of organizing a celebration from afar. The goal throughout is to remove the overwhelm of detail so the lead-up to the day feels like anticipation, not anxiety.

A wedding in Cyprus can range from a simple, intimate ceremony by the sea to a vibrant, multicultural celebration that blends traditions. The five wedding planners featured here have experience with both types of events. Check out their full profiles on Wezoree and reach out to them to get started. Once you find the right planner, it will make all your future decisions much easier.
