Amanda Wei was an absolutely great photographer for our wedding! We're so happy with how the wedding photos turned out!
We reached out to Amanda a month before our wedding and, luckily, she was available for our midweek wedding at San Francisco City Hall. We reviewed her previous work and liked the looks of her photos she took at City Hall. After our initial phone conservation with her, we knew she was a good fit.
We decided to add an additional hour to her wedding package. We shot for one hour at the Palace of Fine Arts before making our way to the City Hall. We booked the 4th floor balcony. Amanda knew the City Hall like the back of her hand and knew exactly when and where to go to get the best photos. She did a great job of ushering people from the public areas to make sure no one was standing in certain key shots. Amanda also did a great job staging us and our family in group photos. She spent a lot of time making sure each family was included.
We're thoroughly impressed with Amanda and enthusiastically recommend her as a photographer.

We're so happy to have chosen Amanda for our City Hall wedding. She was extremely thoughtful, professional, and communicative throughout the entire process. She gave us great tips prior to the shoot so we were well prepared. She also provided great art direction and also went the extra mile to help us get our perfect shots. We would highly recommend her for any wedding!
I can't say enough about how amazing Amanda and her team are! There are tons of reviews about Amanda's photography (and a surplus of examples on her Instagram), so I'll chat about working with Amanda herself specifically.
I was feeling apprehensive about eloping at SF City Hall (especially as we don't live in SF), but Amanda acted almost as a wedding coordinator on top of her impeccable photography skills! Months before my wedding date, she sent over suggestions for local hair/makeup and florists who have worked with her in the past and have experience with SF City Hall elopements. That wealth of information is invaluable. Because Amanda is at SF City Hall multiple times a week, she's an expert on the entire process (from the judge, the ceremony, lighting, posing, and best spots within the building). She was also super kind about reminding us to tilt our heads, bend our knees just a bit, and brush stray hairs away - all super helpful and kind to get the perfect shot. Amanda also made sure I got every shot I dreamed of (I stalked her Instagram and made note of all of the building locations I wanted). We originally booked Amanda for two hours at SF City Hall and then added an extra hour around SF, but when my husband (!!!) and I felt too tired from the day, we happily canceled that third hour and Amanda was super great about that too! We received a few shots for our mailed elopement announcements and social media posts, and when I needed a specific shot, Amanda graciously sent a few extra pictures over! For turnaround time, we received our full set of pictures (over 200!) five weeks after our wedding.
I'm trying to convince my husband to retake pictures with Amanda for our one year anniversary. I've already recommended Amanda to my friends and family, one of whom booked her for a February elopement!

My fiancé and I had a few months left until our SF City Hall marriage ceremony, so we went on a hunt for a great photographer who can capture our wedding moment. Amanda Wei's instagram account showcased some photos that we really liked and she became one of our top choices. Upon contacting her with our wedding date, it was unfortunate that she was already booked on that day, BUT fret not! Her associate photographer Rachel was available! We got to view some galleries of Rachel's own SF City Hall photography and we loved her work! We promptly responded back to book Rachel right away.
Before the ceremony, we were in contact with Rachel. She got our details on what kind of photos we'd like to take, who would be at the ceremony, what kind of wedding dress would be worn, etc. By the wedding date, Rachel arrived on time before the ceremony started and everything went smoothly for 2 hours of photography. When we had the Deputy Marriage Commissioner performing the marriage ceremony, Rachel was really fast and got multiple shots at different angles of the whole event! After that, we had some family group shots and then the rest of the photographs were just me and my newlywed wife all around (inside and outside of) City Hall. Rachel was really professional, told us exactly what to do and how to pose, and kept us smiling big for our joyous occasion with her humorous banter.
The turnaround time was 5 weeks to get the fully finished and edited photographs. They were uploaded to a web gallery and we were able to easily download all 191 photos at full resolution with a click of a button. The web gallery link was also easily sharable with friends and family. The photos were exactly what we had in mind when we saw the sample galleries. They were airy, light and bright, and we love them! We highly recommend booking Rachel from Amanda Wei!

Amanda Wei & Team are truly special individuals! I met Amanda back in 2021 when she photographed my sister’s wedding at the SF City Hall. She was jubilant, contained high positive energy, and was an extremely personable photographer. She left an extremely huge impression on me based on our encounter and was definitely the photographer I wanted when it was my turn to get married
Amanda - My wife and I wanted to thank you all so much for being there for us on the best day of our lives (so far). Amanda was AMAZING for our wedding! We loved working with her. She really captured so many beautiful photos for us, I am still looking over them almost every day and constantly sharing them with family and friends. She made us feel so comfortable during the wedding and brought so much energy to our day. We planned our wedding in the East Bay, but live on the east coast. Amanda was so accommodating and great about communicating and meeting with us despite the limited time we had on the west coast. I am so glad we chose her for to photograph our wedding, the results were beautiful and we will treasure the photos forever!
We chose Amanda Wei Photography for their soft and yet lush photography style, and we went with the package that included the engagement photo session, which was a great way to get comfortable behind the camera. Amanda and her team were extremely thorough and detail-oriented, and their time estimations for when the engagement photos would be out was spot-on!

Loved our experience working with this team! Rachel was our wedding photographer and she was amazing! She knew exactly how to achieve every shot we wanted and was great at helping pose us. Highly recommend this team and would love to work with them again!
