Top 30 I am a US American photographer who lives in California with my husband, Brendan who moonlights as my assistant and film roller on wedding days. My path to becoming a pro level wedding photographer began after I left a rewarding career in medical social work. At the university level I studied literature, cinema, art history, and psychology. Photography was a side project for me. What I wanted was to become an ER doctor. I photographed my first wedding in 2010 and instantly fell in love with the challenges photographing weddings provides. So far I haven’t applied to med school because I’ve been so busy photographing real weddings around the world. I shoot entire weddings on real film and am currently in the process of adding Super 8 video to my process.
