Where to start - Dave is spectacular. My husband and I got married at an intimate ceremony of a dozen or so of our closest family and friends at City Hall in NY followed by a reception at a restaurant nearby. Dave captured all of the moments of day so that when we go back to look at the photos, which we do often, we are brought back and can re-experience the immense joy we experienced then. The photos were a perfect blend of the candid moments with timeless, natural portraits.
In addition to being supremely talented, Dave is a person who puts you immediately at ease and you feel like you've known him for years after only a few minutes. He naturally folded into our small group and I am truly grateful that he got to share one of the most important days of our lives with us.

Dave is incredibly talented and so great to work with. His calm demeanor and obvious expertise made the wedding day go so smoothly. We had already discussed at length what we were hoping for and Dave was able to carry out all of it even with a huge number of people and lots going on. When we got the pictures back, we could not have been happier. My family hired him for a big event soon after as they were thrilled with how the wedding photos came out (and how good everyone looked!!) I could not recommend more highly. Thank you Dave for being such a treasure!
Dave Robbins is an extremely talented photographer who knows how to create the story you want your photos to tell. My husband and I were particularly drawn to Dave due to his portfolio feeling full of whimsy - which is exactly what we wanted to create and exactly what he delivered! He is great at giving direction to ensure you get the photos you want, and, taking in input so your vision is reflected with his. All of our friends and family have only raved and gushed over the beauty that Dave captured. We will look at these photos lovingly for the rest of our lives and are so thankful to Dave that he was able to so skillfully capture this magical moment for us.
Dave Robbins is the right choice. He is the best photographer you will ever find, he is kind and humble and a total joy to be with on your wedding day. Dave exceeds expectations in every way. Dave and his team goes above and beyond standard wedding photography, his photographs are works of art, his eye is unmatched. Dave shot our wedding over ten years ago, I still keep in touch with him, and I still look at his most recent shots as someone who enjoys his photography as art. He finds the shots that are emotional, funny, a moment, movement. Look at Dave's portfolio, and know there is no other Dave Robbins. Truth: I changed my wedding date to fit Dave's availability. There is no stand in for Dave.
Dave Robbins is truly an artist! We fell in love with his photos, they clearly stood out among other wedding photographers. He has a way of capturing raw emotion and special moments that make you relive the day. It was so special to look back at photos and remember the special moment it captured rather than just a posed picture. His pictures are full of color and life and will not wash you out! Dave is also so kind and relaxed! Once we met him we knew we didn't want anyone else! Before our engagement photos I was nervous and Dave made us feel so calm. It ended up being such a fun evening and felt like we were with an old friend! We hope to a have a reason to have Dave photograph us again in the future!
My husband and I cannot say enough amazing things about Dave!! Immediately upon getting engaged I knew that Dave Robbins was the first vendor I wanted to book because I had fallen in love with the photos he had taken at the venue I loved in Rhode Island. We ended up choosing a different venue, changing dates multiple times due to COVID, and because of a date conflict we ended up booking an associate photographer of Dave's named Blazej (who was absolutely phenomenal!) Long story short, the day before the wedding the second photographer who was set to join Blazej had a family emergency and Dave jumped in to work with Blazej and together they captured the most beautiful wedding photos we could have imagined. While we feel like we hit the jackpot, I am sure it wasn't the easiest thing to swing for Dave - but he did it without a moment of hesitation and so much joy and laughter. Dave never let us feel a moment of panic about the last minute changes. You can feel the warmth and happiness jumping off the page from our pictures and that is a testament to how the people behind the camera make you, your family, wedding party, and guests feel. You must book Dave Robbins!!
We could not have been happier having Dave shoot our wedding. He was a pleasure to work with and the final work-product was stellar. His style is unique in that he manages to perfectly capture not only people's faces, but also their personalities. His portraits and standard wedding shots hit the mark, but what sets his pictures apart are that they reflect the joy, humor, celebration and love of the moment.

We were blown away by our wedding photos and got compliments from everyone who saw them…friends, family, acquaintances and even strangers who came across them on social media. We picked 250 photos for our album because we had too many favorites and couldn’t narrow down any more. He is a joy to work with and a master of his craft. Photographer was my most important vendor, and we needed someone skilled who could photograph our unique venue with challenging lighting (Angel Orensanz Foundation). I am an art director professionally, and looked at many photographers before landing on Dave. You get what you pay for and trust me…pay up for Dave. Additionally, he was flexible with us when we needed to postpone our wedding due to COVID and dealt well with all of our uncertainty.
Dave Robbins is phenomenal! We've been working with him for well over a decade and not only does he take the most beautiful photos, but he is a lovely person.

The pictures were so wonderful (as was he!) that my sister-in-law hired him to shoot her wedding 5 years later. In the interim, he has been repeatedly hired by our extended family, including photographing our annual extended family’s holiday photos.
Dave is great with large events and intimate affairs. He is able to capture the joy and emotion of an event without missing the forest for the trees. So many of his photos have documented the last 10+ years of our family's life and we can't wait to continue to work with him going forward.

Dave is a truly incredible photographer. He is talented at catching people and interactions in a way that freezes a special moment in time, making it look beautiful. He is equally good at posed and candids, capturing and bringing in unusual or unique aspects of scenery in a way that made our photos feel totally personal to us. We also had a very large wedding (300+ in attendance), and he managed to photograph candids of every single guest, in addition to portraits. Dave has a wonderful presence, a sincere and pleasant attitude, and is easy and fun to be around, even during more stressful parts of an event day. I can only highly recommend his work (and have since recommended him to my closest friends).
