If I could give ten stars for this review, I would!!! There’s no other way to put it - Dave Robbins is simply the best.

My husband and I hired Dave to be our photographer for our destination wedding in Mayakoba, Mexico in Oct 2021. After having postponed our wedding twice due to Covid, we wanted our photos to be perfect and finding the right photographer was no easy task. We researched a ton of them both in the NYC area and in Mexico but none of their photos gave us “the feels” like Dave’s did. His photographic style is truly unique in that his photos are not only beautiful, but so vibrant and full of life. Nothing about his work feels stiff or staged. Plus, he is just the nicest, most awesome person to work with! He made the experience fun by making us feel comfortable and completely at ease from the start. This was not an easy thing to do since we were dealing with all the destination wedding stressors plus Covid challenges on top of it all. Nonetheless, Dave managed to capture our entire wedding weekend so beautifully, with shots that we couldn’t believe he was able to get! Even our family and friends commented that they hardly noticed him there and wondered how he was able to capture such precious moments. We think he may have some secret superpower that allows him to be in multiple places at once, haha!

In all seriousness, if you want beautiful, vibrant  photos to treasure forever, plus an awesome  person to capture them and make you feel at ease in front of the lens, book Dave Robbins - you will not regret it!!

Dave was everything we could have hoped for in our wedding photographer, and so much more. Relaxed and warm, he completely knew how to read our energy and how to capture the energy of our loved ones. He has an eye for the big and small moments, and he just makes everyone feel comfortable and looked after. He made everything about our day feel effortless and made it look even more beautiful than we remembered!

We had a truly wonderful experience working with Dave.  Not only were the photographs beautiful with so many "frame worthy" options, but Dave was a pleasure to work with and did an incredible job efficiently gathering and organizing family members including a number of young children (not an easy task!). Dave is a great choice if you are looking for great photos AND a great experience!

We engaged Dave for our wedding in Newport and that was, unequivocally, among the best decisions we made. Dave is a highly gifted photographer with an uncanny ability to capture every special moment and emotion throughout what is undoubtedly an event-filled weekend.  Even more, he has a skilled eye for scouting those unique and memorable spots off the beaten path that, for us, delivered not only the best shots (editorial and non editorial alike), but also private moments amidst the flurry of people and activities. In addition to his technical skills was a natural ability to calm wedding nerves, which was honestly invaluable. We have recommended him without reservation to family and friends time and again.

Dave is a truly incredible photographer. He is talented at catching people and interactions in a way that freezes a special moment in time, making it look beautiful. He is equally good at posed and candids, capturing and bringing in unusual or unique aspects of scenery in a way that made our photos feel totally personal to us. We also had a very large wedding (300+ in attendance), and he managed to photograph candids of every single guest, in addition to portraits. Dave has a wonderful presence, a sincere and pleasant attitude, and is easy and fun to be around, even during more stressful parts of an event day. I can only highly recommend his work (and have since recommended him to my closest friends).

We could not have been happier having Dave shoot our wedding. He was a pleasure to work with and the final work-product was stellar.  His style is unique in that he manages to perfectly capture not only people's faces, but also their personalities.  His portraits and standard wedding shots hit the mark, but what sets his pictures apart are that they reflect the joy, humor, celebration and love of the moment.

Dave Robbins is phenomenal! We've been working with him for well over a decade and not only does he take the most beautiful photos, but he is a lovely person.

To put this into context, Dave first took our engagement photos and then photographed our rehearsal dinner and wedding. The pictures were so wonderful (as was he!) that my sister-in-law hired him to shoot her wedding 5 years later. In the interim, he has been repeatedly hired by our extended family, including photographing our annual extended family’s holiday photos.

Dave is great with large events and intimate affairs. He is able to capture the joy and emotion of an event without missing the forest for the trees. So many of his photos have documented the last 10+ years of our family's life and we can't wait to continue to work with him going forward.

I cannot speak more highly of Dave and of his work – you should absolutely book him for your next event!

Fr om the second we met Dave, we felt like we had known him for years. He is kind and casual, incredibly professional, and for a day filled with so many moving pieces, he continually puts you at ease. He aims to capture you in your truest form and encourages you to be yourselves. He can make absolutely anyone feel comfortable in front of the camera.

Dave is the real deal, as are his photos - authentic and beautiful - in a world wh ere many people simply throw a filter on and call it a day. We can't thank Dave enough for the incredible memories from our wedding. We will cherish them forever.
