106 I’m Tom! I am a documentary photographer based in NYC. A wedding day is filled with such a range of emotions - happiness, joy and excitement, of course - but also anxiety, frustration, even sadness. The intimacy in these moments is so powerful and it’s up to me to transpose these feelings onto a photograph. I know at any moment there is the potential to capture something special; it is all about observing and looking for moments to fall into place. I work to capture an essence, a time, a place and make the image as authentic as that particular moment. This is how I can truly show my couples’ personalities through my images.

Tom was an amazing photographer!! We loved his style after finding his portfolio, in particular his focus on the small moments and candids that really captured the personality and tiny moments of our wedding that are so incredibly precious.
We really appreciated his organization and professionalism leading up to the wedding - he helped us with a photography timeline and answered all our questions about shot lists and logistics. As a couple who will totally admit we are terrible at taking photos, Tom was super supportive and helpful in capturing us naturally and giving us direction without making us stiff or overly posed. Once my wife and I decided that we wanted to travel to New York from London to secretly elope in central park we only had two and a half months until our wedding day. It was difficult to plan the event from overseas with our time frame and the photographer was the main thing we wanted to first tick off our list. We initially had a zoom meeting with Tom and straight away knew we wanted to work with him! He was so friendly, very encouraging and laughed along with us when we told him about our proposal and our ideas for the day.
Tom was super responsive every time we reached out and helped us form a well planned time line for the event. Since we had never been to New York before he gave us lots of suggestions for locations and other places to visit on our trip. His style of photography was exactly what we were looking for - his ability to present the small and honest moments of the day alongside the fun, excitement and pure craziness of it all what exactly what we were looking for. We knew photography would be one of the most important parts of our wedding--we were immediately drawn to Tom's style and ability to capture every moment, small or big, in a day. Meeting with him to discuss our vision sealed the deal. Tom's rare mix of kindness, flexibility (particularly as we rescheduled our wedding from 2020 to 2021) humor, and eye for personality captured so many beautiful moments. He's an industry pro and was familiar with our venue and the neighborhood, making it easy for him to pre-plan shots and help us navigate the busy day. Our planning process set my mind at ease; no detail goes undocumented in set-up, and yet his process makes it all seamless and simple on the couple to provide all the information he needs. His easy-going demeanor and command of his craft means the day-of is just enjoyable (and this is coming from two people who have been in weddings and leading photo shoots their entire career). Tom shot our wedding in July, and this review is long over due. We can't recommend Tom enough!! Each photo in our album gets better and better. He created the perfect mixture of staged and candid pictures, black and white and color, was creative with the lighting, captured all of the best moments, and caught the little sweet moments we forgot even happened. We are obsessed with every single one of our photos! Tom was so easy to work with and just as excited as we were about our venue and wedding. He made us feel so comfortable and was so easy to work with and within a few minutes he felt like a friend we had known forever. He guided us when we were unsure but also asked for our opinion on things. It felt so balanced and natural. He even shared a few 'sneak peak photos' the very next day which was beyond thoughtful and something I never knew I needed. We love all of our photos and can't recommend Tom enough!
Hiring Tom to be our wedding photographer was definitely the best decision we made! When I saw Tom's photos on his website and Instagram, I knew that it was exactly how I wanted my photos to turn out, as well! His photography is excellent- the composition of the photos, the lighting, and the editing- it's all perfect! He goes out of his way to really capture the essence of the day and the little moments that make it unique. Where to begin in reviewing Tom?! Not only is he an incredibly talented photographer with impeccable taste and vision, but he is such a warm and joyful person- an absolute pleasure to be around. We were so impressed with our engagement photographs but wow, when we received our wedding photographs we could not believe how amazing they were. Tom truly captured our guests' personalities in each and every picture. He captured so many amazing and memorable moments. We laughed and cried reliving the day and will cherish the pictures forever!
