From the moment I saw Vivi’s work on Instagram, I knew she was going to be the person I wanted to capture our wedding day. Her photos were beautiful, romantic, and exactly what I envisioned. Then we met over Zoom, and within that first meeting, I realized I had found someone who was just as organized and Type A as I am, and honestly, I was ecstatic.
I feel like Type A girls sometimes get a bad reputation for being controlling or annoying, but really, we’re organized, we know exactly what we want, we’re decisive, and we’re good at what we do. And that was exactly the kind of person I wanted capturing one of the most important days of our lives.
When I first reached out to Vivi, our wedding was still more than two years away, but I already knew I wanted to lock down our date with her because I didn’t want to risk having to find another photographer. Thankfully, she agreed, and I signed the contract that same week. We also scheduled a pre-wedding photoshoot, and by the end of that session, I knew without a doubt that I had chosen the right photographer.
My husband and I are definitely not people who naturally know how to pose or make ourselves look good in photos, but Vivi made the entire process feel effortless. She seamlessly directed us, telling us exactly how to move and pose while somehow still making the whole experience fun and natural. My favorite direction from that day was, of course, **“Sexy leg!”**which became Vivi’s way of reminding me exactly wh ere my leg needed to go to get the perfect angle.
And then we got the photos back.
They were beyond anything we could have expected. They were so beautiful, and somehow she made two people who had no idea what they were doing in front of a camera look like we actually knew how to pose. Seeing those photos made us even more excited for our wedding because we already knew we were going to be in such good hands. Who needs Orangetheory when you have Vivi editing your photos?!
Also, a little sidebar: Vivi is not only an incredible photographer, she could genuinely be a wedding coordinator too. She had her own detailed timeline for us, along with actual PowerPoint homework assignments to fill out with our inspiration photos, flat-lay ideas, wedding party information, vendor details, and basically anything else she could possibly need to know. As a fellow Type A person, I cannot explain how much I appreciated this.
She even helped guide us toward several of our other vendors because it was really important to me to choose people who would work well together and create a good team on the wedding day. Her recommendations and advice throughout the entire planning process were invaluable, and by the time our wedding finally arrived, I trusted her completely.
Then came rehearsal day. Vivi had previously instructed us to record the rehearsals so she could see exactly what everything would look like before the wedding. We sent her the videos, she kindly gave us her critiques and suggestions for what she thought would photograph and flow best, and being the smart people that we are, we took every single piece of advice she gave us. At that point, we knew better than to question the professional.
And then it was finally wedding day.
Because the order of events for our wedding was a little different fr om the traditional timeline, we first met Vivi at the church. I introduced her to our wedding party by saying, “This is Vivi. She is the most important person today. You need to listen to her or I will kill you.”
Obviously, I was joking... mostly.
But what I really wanted everyone to understand was how much I trusted her. I knew that the best thing we could possibly do that day was let Vivi do what she does best. If she told us wh ere to stand, we stood there. If she told us to move, we moved. If she told me “sexy leg,” that leg was coming out. I knew that if we trusted her direction and let her work, she would make us shine.
And she absolutely did.
The rest of the day went unbelievably smoothly. Somehow, despite it being nearly a 20-hour day for my husband and me, we had so much fun and never even felt exhausted. There was no stress, no chaos, and not even a wrinkle in the day. We made sure everyone was fed, lunch, dinner, ice cream, boba, and even ramen for post-dinner snacking, and we were able to simply enjoy ourselves and soak in everything happening around us.
Vivi’s infectious energy, professionalism, organization, and genuine excitement set the tone for the entire day. Everyone was riding that energy with her, and it made such a difference. She managed to keep everything moving while still making the experience feel fun, exciting, and completely natural.
There are so many decisions you make while planning a wedding, and after more than two years of planning, there are inevitably things you wonder if you should have done differently. Choosing Vivi was never one of them.
I truly could not have asked for a better person to capture one of the most important days of our lives. From trusting her enough to book her more than two years in advance, to our pre-wedding photos, the PowerPoint homework, the rehearsal critiques, “sexy leg,” and finally our wedding day itself, Vivi was so much more than just our photographer. During the wedding day, I remember you told me to slow down and let’s do the shots in my own pace, you were so clam but your eyes were full of sparks! Our energy just matched so well, and the photos turned out soooo great! I can tell you and Benji truly enjoyed every single moment of the shot. We had the pleasure of working with Vivi and Benji for both our SF engagement photoshoot and August 2026 Wedding. We have no words to explain how amazing Vivi’s work is!!! Prior to even finding our wedding planner, we booked Vivi immediately because we absolutely loved her outgoing and bubbly personality and her photography style was exactly what we were looking for. She has the magic touch with creating such beautiful, bright, and romantic images with each of her photoshoots.
Before we found our planner, Vivi guaranteed that she would help us through every step of our wedding process and ensure that our timeline was properly accounted for on the day of the wedding. She showed us all of the sample assignments she would have us prepare to ensure that all our dreams and wishes came true!!! It may seem intimidating, but Vivi was extremely thoughtful in curating her detailed questions so she could understand the bride and groom's requests and concerns with the photoshoot as a whole. She always invested in our best interests and scheduled timely meetings to walk through our responses and questions.
For our engagement photoshoot in March 2026, Vivi went above and beyond!!! She was sooo flexible with scheduling a date to align with my hair & makeup trial. She also willingly visited San Francisco the day before the shoot to scope out the area and find the most ideal locations for the actual photoshoot day. This session was such a memorable experience that we won’t forget! Vivi is so kind and we felt extremely comfortable the entire time. She would position us in the most perfect and natural ways and would always cheer us on throughout the photoshoot. Benji also helped us throughout the day, and as always, he was such a trooper and so sweet! He helped us carry all of our personal belongings and was so patient with us when we changed between locations. We recall the weather was quite windy, and Vivi came extra prepared with bobby pins and surprisingly the shots came out so whimsical!!! She truly has a magical touch with every angle. She definitely took into account the bride and groom’s height difference and ensured all our concerns were addressed. We’ll also never forget the fun experience at the beach!!! Once again, Vivi went above and beyond and was running through the water and waves beside us Honestly, such a trooper!!!! We loved this portion of the photoshoot because we were able to openly feel like ourselves and she caught the most beautiful golden hour and Golden Gate photos. Her editing skills are unmatched!!!

She provided us thoughtful advice about our florals to ensure we get a beautiful color palette and even checked in on our assignment to guide us with any open items. When it came to the final timeline, Vivi also coordinated closely with our planner to find the most efficient timeline that included all our wishlist shots. She even advised on how to organize the pre-ceremony photos so that our entire team was mostly indoors except for a small portion due to the hot weather. Her thoughtfulness and attention to detail prior to the wedding day really made us feel so comfortable that we were in good hands. She even asked us to record our Ceremony Rehearsal so she could identify any corrections to get the best photo outcome. WOW!! This was such a blessing to have because she really caught all the flaws in our rehearsal to achieve the most beautiful Ceremony EVER!!! The fact that Vivi was texting us the night before truly showed she cared about us, and we appreciate her kindness so much!!! I also loved how she made us a phone screenshot timeline that we could use throughout the day the small things matter!!!
On the day of the wedding, Vivi and Benji were a dreaaaam team!!! They also brought alongside an assistant to help with all the fine-tuned details such as fluffing the bride’s dress, fixing the bride’s hair, and holding bouquets, etc. To be completely honest, having Vivi lead the entire timeline left us at ease because we knew she would capture all our wishes without concern. The most amazing factor is that Vivi and Benji maintained their professionalism throughout the day and always kept a positive attitude! We both felt so grateful for their patience throughout the day and were appreciative of their hard work in the sun and heat Vivi even made sure to squeeze in time to help capture some photos with our two dogs! We will never forget your efforts!!! As always, Vivi went above and beyond and captured pretty much every shot from our wishlist! We did not expect their team to capture everything we favorited since it was just a wishlist of nice shots we found online, but wow…Vivi printed our entire slide deck with all the organized shots!!! We were both amazed to see her motivated side as a photographer. In addition to the detail, Vivi and Benji were also super caring to all of our family members, wedding party, planner, and vendor team! I could truly see how much they coordinated to make our special day become a dream come true!!!

Her sense of composition, lighting, and storytelling is exceptional, and nothing escapes her attention, from our outfits and poses to the smallest details in every frame. Because of her careful planning and guidance, the entire photography process felt effortless, allowing us to fully enjoy our wedding day.
What impressed us even more was how well Vivi managed everything throughout the day. She communicated effortlessly with our wedding party and guests in four different languages, kindly guiding everyone on wh ere to stand, how to toss flower petals, and what to do during different moments. She also noticed that one of our bridesmaids was having a hard time getting our vow book during ceremony and immediately stepped in to help. These small moments truly reflected how thoughtful, attentive, and professional she is.

He was kind and incredibly patient with us, especially during our group photos after the ceremony. We hired Vivi and her team for our engagement photo shoot, mehendi, sangeet, and wedding days, and we could not have been happier with her work!
