My husband and I got married in Vietnam. That's home for us but we've been living in San Francisco for most of our lives, which meant planning a wedding from across the world, dealing with vendors, time differences, and logistics were honestly going to give us a lot of headache before we even started. We talked to so many planners in Ho Chi Minh city trying to find the right fit. And then we found Meraki, and it just clicked.

Planning a destination wedding halfway across the globe would have felt impossible without Meraki Wedding Planner. The Meraki team was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly well organized, guiding us through what could have been a daunting process. Even though we worked exclusively online, collaborating with Meraki felt easy and natural, as if we had known each other for years. We met with several wedding planners in Vietnam about 9 months before our wedding date. By “duyên,” we happened to meet on a random day in Hanoi right before our flight back to the U.S., and we clicked almost instantly when we sat down with chị Xuân. She took the time to learn about our love story and our hobbies to understand what kind of wedding would suit us best. It felt less like an interview and more like reconnecting with an old friend. She walked us through the entire planning process, from the smallest details to broader themes and concepts, and was transparent about Meraki’s scope of services, costs, and what could realistically be achieved within our budget. Her suggestions struck the perfect balance between her professional expertise and our own ideas and vision.

That care went above and beyond, as chị Xuân even carved time out of her own vacation to spend an afternoon sourcing the right fabric and color for our groomsmen’s outfit. That level of dedication can only come from true passion and pride in one’s work. With us living in the U.S. and returning to Vietnam just one week before the wedding, Meraki went above and beyond to make everything work, and they absolutely delivered.

Creatively, the team exceeded our expectations. Neither of us had an artistic bone in our body; all we know is we wanted our wedding to be different. Meraki was patient in helping us shape a vision of our own; they encouraged us to be bold and elevated our ideas far beyond what we could have imagined. The final result truly speaks for itself - the transformation from our initial Pinterest board to the final execution was dramatic; it felt like 2 entirely different weddings! Every detail and color choice was intentional, and the photos are stunning, far beyond anything we originally envisioned.

Operationally, Meraki managed tasks and timelines exceptionally well. At every biweekly meeting, we received clear updates on the progress of each workstream. The team was explicit about what they needed from us and kept us accountable to deadlines, while also remaining flexible and accommodating of our schedules. They were incredibly responsive, answering questions promptly no matter how ad hoc they were. Over time, our trust in the team only deepened because it was clear how much they genuinely cared.

We still remember when chị Xuân asked what kind of wedding we wanted: an aesthetic one, a romantic one, an emotional one, or something else. Our answer was simple - we wanted to throw a great party for our friends and family. And somehow, Meraki delivered that and all of the above. Thanks to Meraki, I was able to have the wedding of my DREAMS! My husband and I live in California and planned a March 2026 destination wedding in Nha Trang, Vietnam, with 65 guests flying in from the US.
