We are absolutely in awe of Chris’s work. He truly brought our photography dreams to life. I’ve always loved a cinematic, timeless photo style and knew from the beginning that’s what I wanted for our wedding, so I could not be more grateful that we came across Chris and were able to work with him.
From the very beginning, he was so helpful, encouraging, and thoughtful while preparing for our engagement shoot and throughout the entire experience. Chris has such an incredible eye and an unmatched ability to take something so simple or seemingly bland and turn it into a photo that tells a million words.
We are beyond obsessed with our engagement photos and truly cannot wait for our wedding next summer. If our engagement shoot is any indication, we already know our wedding photos will be better than we ever dreamed of. His work is the perfect combination of fun, cinematic, joyful, romantic, and still clean, classy, beautiful, and timeless.

We scoured the internet and social media to find a photographer for my son’s upcoming wedding. Him and his fiance were looking for a cinematic, romantic, timeless style. Every photographer they loved was well beyond their price range. Somehow we stumbled upon Chris Detring’s page. His work looked beautiful and his prices somehow fit their budget.
They had their engagement session and we are all absolutely blown away. The photos were jaw dropping. They looked straight out of and magazine or rom-com. On top of that, his personality made working with him so easy. He was so communicative, his personality was so easy going and fun, and we are all excited to have him capturing memories this summer at their wedding. His turn around time was great too!

Chris did an AMAZING job with our wedding photos. He was super friendly and communitive through out the whole process and was more than happy to answer any questions we had. We're so in love with how all our photos turned out; definitely worth every penny. Could not recommend him more!

Working with Chris was a dream! He is very communicative and easy- going. I love his aesthetic so l knew I wanted to book him for our special day. He calmed my nerves as I get nervous and awkward taking photos. He understood I didn't want the traditional cheesy wedding pics and captured our celebration perfectly! Chris is so talented! I had a very specific vision for my wedding and to say he understood the assignment would be an understatement. He knocked it out of the park. It’s so difficult to find someone who has such a diverse range of different cameras and lenses. He really can capture the perfect moment for whatever your style may be from whimsical film to glamorous editorial shots that belong in magazines. It was such a please to work with him.
