As the owner of En Blanc in Santa Monica, I've had the opportunity to work alongside so many incredible wedding professionals over the years, and countless of our brides have chosen Summer Newman Events to plan their weddings. The praise, gratitude, and love we've consistently heard about Summer has always been extraordinary. But it wasn't until I had the chance to work with her personally for my husband's 50th birthday party that I truly understood just how exceptional she is.

Planning any major event comes with stress, moving pieces, and high expectations, and Summer handled every single detail with so much grace, patience, creativity, and professionalism. She has this rare ability to make you feel completely taken care of while simultaneously delivering an experience that is elevated, thoughtful, luxurious, and unforgettable.

Summer is calm under pressure, endlessly resourceful, incredibly innovative, and someone who truly cares about every aspect of her clients' experience. She hustles harder than anyone, figures things out no matter what obstacles arise, and somehow still manages to make the entire process feel exciting and enjoyable. Her taste level is impeccable, and every detail felt intentional and beautiful.

What impressed me most was how deeply she cared. Not just about the aesthetics or logistics, but about how every single guest would feel walking into that room. She wanted everyone to be blown away, and she absolutely delivered. It was hands down one of the best parties I have ever attended.

As a business owner in this industry, it's very easy to recognize the people who are doing this work for the right reasons, because you can feel how much joy they get from creating meaningful experiences for others. Summer is unquestionably one of those people. She pours her heart into what she does, and it shows in every interaction, every detail, and every event she touches.

She is also somehow balancing all of this while being an incredible wife and mother, which makes me admire her even more.

Summer and her team were exceptional and made our wedding dreams come true. Summer truly listened to our vision, came up with creative and unique ideas to personalize the wedding, and, ultimately, created the most elegant and timeless wedding we could imagine. Our guests loved the customized details with images of our dog and were blown away by the stunning tablescape. Summer created a high-end wedding that didn't feel stuffy and left us feeling like our money was more than well spent.

Our wedding was a dream beyond either of our wildest fantasies. From day one of planning until even today 5 months later, we've repeatedly said we don't know how we could've pulled our day off without Summer. The fact is we absolutely couldn't have! We still have family and friends talking about how our wedding was either the best wedding they've ever been to, the best party they've ever been to, or both! It was an all day event lasting 12 hours, had so many moving parts with the ceremony in one location and the reception in another, and guest shuttle services in between. Every component had to be perfectly timed (with PCH traffic accounted for) so we could exchange our vows in Malibu overlooking the beach, and have dinner and dancing at sunset on a yacht in Marina del Rey and our First Dance with fireworks above us. It was a lot! And yet Summer navigated it all with ease, grace and confidence. I don't know what we did to deserve a gift like Summer, but we are in gratitude every time we are reminded of our day. It was magical, it was surreal, it was perfect!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Summer. When we decided to plan our day in 2020, forgoing the big affair and replacing it with an intimate wedding, Summer was right by our side navigating the ever-changing regulations during a pandemic. Whether you are planning a large or small wedding, Summer is the absolute best planner to help you through the process.
When I met Summer I was instantly impressed with her professional and thoughtful approach to planning. She has an incredible calm demeanor which puts stress at ease. On top of that, she is incredibly creative and thinks through every minute detail - making the day-of an absolute dream. You will not find a better planner and friend to have by your side.

The wedding business is a WHOLE world that I wasn't familiar with before I got engaged. Lucky for me, I found a DREAM planner in Summer who knows this world better than anyone! It really was a true pleasure to have her by my side during this process -- and, surprise, it was FUN! Very little stress. Any good planner will keep you on track with budget and timing, but a great planner like Summer will constantly bring forward solutions and alternative options to make sure your day is the happiest one ever. Vendors love her, trust her, and bend over backwards for her, which is also a testament how wonderful she is (but also a great benefit for Summer's clients as well!) She knows how to reign you in (if you need it, like I did) while always making you feel like there's an even better solution around the corner. I mean, we can't all have hand painted Moroccan style dance floors but a sleek black worked just as well! My wedding day was ABSOLUTE perfection and that's largely in part to Summer.
