JLB was the perfect choice for our wedding. In the early stages of our wedding planning, we looked at so many wedding photographers and none of them spoke to us... until we found JLB. His artistic style is so unique and expressive, and it fit the vision for our wedding so well. From the moment we started working with him, we felt assured that we had made the right choice. JLB was incredibly professional, organized, and knowledgable. He had a confident answer for every specific question we had (e.g., how do you take photos of people with darker skin tones).
Things got even better once we met in person for a pre-wedding/engagement shoot. We were so nervous about taking professional photographs, but JLB made us feel instantly comfortable. Within minutes, we were having so much fun running around town, listening to JLB's instructions, and taking museum-worthy photos.
Fast-forward to the wedding, and his approach was no different: he captured all of the right moments in picture-perfect fashion, all while being super organized and super friendly.
We can't wait to look back at these photos again and again in the years to come. We can't recommend JLB enough!

JLB was PHENOMENAL. Our entire bridal party and guests at our wedding complimented him and thought he was incredible. My husband is very shy with photos and he said he made him feel SO confident. We are in LOVE with our photos. We wanted someone who captured the essence of detroit and he went above and beyond. Book him!!! You will NOT regret it. Next day we had multiple photos, a reel, and animated GIFs.He was there every second capturing everything and had the best ideas. Best decision of our wedding hands down!! Our guests and party are STILL talking about him months later! Best money ever spent!
JLB is iconic. His creative process and eye for detail is incredible. Our (250 person) wedding was originally planned for March 28, 2020. We eloped a week early with him and 20 people and had no anticipation for him to work with us on the unused time. He made the most gracious offer and we still got to use those hours for another shoot with him. We actually feel speechless with the level of professionalism we received. On top of unique design driven photos, JLB is very kind, courteous and calm - the type of energy you need on your wedding day! We *often* look at our beautiful photos and are so relieved we hired him!
Jeffrey is the kindest, most creative, talented and lovely person to have worked with. He perfectly captured our wedding day and the ✨ vibe✨ we wanted to create. He was patient with our guests and gave us the most beautiful memories from our day. He is worth every penny. Our only regret about hiring JLB was that we only have one wedding day!

Hiring JLB as our wedding photographer was the best decision we made! Apart from his amazing artistic skills, he is also charismatic, easy to work with, and always a professional. He has such an eye for light and line that makes his images unique. He also captured gorgeous details and special moments from our wedding day that were even more beautiful than we could have imagined. We have keepsake photographs from our wedding that look like they belong in a magazine! We will cherish these photos, and our memories of working with JLB, forever :)

Can't recommend highly enough! We had a small, fairly non-traditional wedding and Jeffrey was really flexible and attentive to what we needed. He also has amazing knowledge of Detroit-area venues and he already knew all the perfect spots to shoot at our hotel and ceremony spot.
He really cares about his art and his effort showed. We've received nothing but glowing complements about our wedding photos - Jeffrey goes above and beyond to find unique shots. The gifs were fun and his custom color processing was great, too; it let us choose which mood we liked best for each photo.
