From the very beginning, Jeffrey was an absolute pleasure to work with, and we truly cannot recommend him enough. Long before our wedding day, he made us feel confident that we were in great hands. He is incredibly organized, provides a detailed planning document that helps you think through every part of the photography timeline, and was always quick to answer questions and offer guidance. It was clear from the start that he genuinely cared about making our day as smooth and stress-free as possible.

On the wedding day, he exceeded every expectation. He made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, kept everything moving without ever making us feel rushed, and somehow managed to be everywhere at once while remaining calm and professional. The only thing you actually get to keep from your wedding is your spouse, the rings and of course the photos!

JLB was recommended to us friends who hired him as their photographer and we are so glad they did! Not only do we get these photographs forever but he was such a great person to spend our day with!

He was incredibly easy to communicate with leading up to the day and his planning doc was a huge help to us in getting a schedule together. He traveled to River North Chicago for us and made sure to scout the area to put together a plan to get pictures that fit our vision and met us at our rehearsal to preview the venue and check in.

On the day of the wedding he made sure everything flowed smoothly, captured fun candid moments, and posed us intentionally for other shots and found ways to make us laugh and loosen up when we started to get awkward about getting our pictures taken. He helped make the day fun, and all of our guests loved him during the reception! He even managed to get the mobster vibe family photos we wanted with our awkward midwest family.

Most importantly our pictures turned out amazingly. The sneak peek the day after with some choice shots and some GIFs were so much fun to get and go through together. We whisked away on our honeymoon and our welcome home present was our full gallery, the turn around time was incredible and we got to end our honeymoon at home reliving our wedding day. We are so happy to have had him as our photographer and we wish we could give him more than 5 stars!

Jeffrey is the most fantastic photographer hands down. Care, expertise, and talent go into every single photo he takes. As a result, every photo is a singular work of art, incorporating architecture, lighting, and structure. Moreover, he is a kind person that my now husband and I describe as “a true homie.” Despite my husband and I being quite camera shy, Jeffrey gave us direction in a way that created comfort. We never felt confused or shy, rather we felt confident and fun throughout our engagement shoot and wedding day. Jeffrey is an excellent communicator who gives direction to all involved, in a clear, concise and helpful manner. We also received SO many compliments during our wedding regarding Jeffrey. Consistently, we had people approach us to say “wow! Your photographer is amazing. He’s so nice and obviously is amazing at what he does.” Do not hesitate to book him - it was a privilege to have him be apart of our big day. Absolute 10/10 photographer.

We honestly can’t say enough good things about JLB. When we first found him and saw all the perfect reviews, we both wondered, “Okay… what’s the catch?” But after working with him, we realized there isn’t one. He really is THAT good. He traveled all the way to Charlotte for our engagement session, which already meant a lot to us. And from the moment we met him, he made us feel completely at ease — which is saying something because we’re definitely not people who usually love photos of ourselves. But these? We absolutely love them. Like genuinely LOVE them. What surprised us most is that it was more than just taking and getting pictures. The whole session felt like an experience. He made it fun, natural, and honestly something we’ll remember forever. He somehow captured us in a way that didn’t feel posed or forced — just real moments, real connection. Hiring JLB Photography was the best decision we made for our wedding. Jeffrey photographed our December 2025 wedding at Cafe Brauer, and we couldn't be happier with the experience from start to finish.

I am not sure where to begin… we hired JLB to capture our wedding day and it was one of the best decisions we made in the process. He is a true professional. From our very first inquiry meeting, we knew his energy, kindness, and vision were exactly what we wanted for our wedding.
