To start, she did not set a location to meet. This complicated my sunrise ceremony at Yosemite with no cell service. She said she called me several times that morning, but of course I didn't receive them! She had picked a ceremony location (without me) OFF TRAIL and when I arrived I could not find her. I spent 30 min running around looking for her (in my dress) as the sun rose over the mountain. We MISSED the sunrise. Mostly upset because rather than soak in that moment I was frantic looking for her. I received her "where should we meet text" AFTERWARDS. Looks like she messaged me 8 min after our meet up time (screenshot attached). She blamed me for being 15 min late...I arrived at 6:45 and didn't find her until 7:15. This all should have been done beforehand and she should have been in plain sight when I arrived, not hidden OFF trail. I assumed she'd be at the entrance.
I held onto hope, hoping I'd feel better but when I received the pictures, but they felt thrown together and not what I imagined. Lots of images were so far, you couldn't see us. I hardly received any with our faces, but I received some random pictures, that nobody would want included in their limited 200 pictures. (I included them in our review). Lots of images of my back and almost all of us looking away.
She mentioned she would fix minor blemishes and smooth skin, she did NOT. She didn't even get rid of the posts on the road (a simple Lightroom fix). It seemed she was out of her element and was too focused on photographing our background, she forgot I would want a picture of my face on my wedding day.
She said she had no idea where to take pictures as she had never taken them in Yosemite, so I had to select all locations in the park. She didn't do any research or scout any locations. (Even though she said she got married there.) she offered a 3 and 5 hr package and we selected and paid for 5 hours, but she kept saying she had enough pictures, wanting to end the shoot early MORE than once. I also explained beforehand we were very awkward people and would need help and she assured me she would pose us. She posed us a couple of times, but her energy was low/off. I felt like she wasn't telling me anything and I kept asking what she wanted me to do and where she wanted me! She offered a "vintage video" that was 58 seconds of clips with a Billie Eilish song (weird.)
Overall, I did message her and tried to hopefully resolve my concerns, and she did add a few additional pictures, but I can't ask for pictures she didn't take. She said it was my Pinterest board she was copying (except it fell very short of those pictures), and she explained that these images were the best of her 4000 pictures of the day. Her responses felt AI generated and she eventually just stopped emailing. To her defense I was desperate to get any clips of video she had trying to salvage memories of my wedding day. (I didn't get any).
I would not recommend her. It's important to note we secretly eloped and the pictures are all we had that day. We feel robbed of our experience and it's saddening.
