From Day to Night at Villa Zai Phuket
The inspiration was Italian coastal romance. The location was Phuket. The result belonged entirely to both.
This fully conceptual styled shoot, imagined as an intimate destination wedding for around 40 guests, was designed as one continuous journey from morning light to candlelit evening. Each space at Villa Zai has its own atmosphere and its own mood. The team at The Wedding Bliss Thailand let that guide everything.

An Aisle That Ends at the Sea
The day began on the yoga deck, where the sea and the greenery became the setting rather than a backdrop. White flowers lined the aisle on both sides, orchids, lilies, hydrangeas, roses, baby's breath, and white amaranthus arranged in flowing compositions that followed the natural lines of the deck rather than competing with them. Flowing fabric drapery framed the altar, and the ocean stretched out beyond it. French-style white chairs lined the ceremony space. The groom waited at the end of an aisle that felt like it led directly into the horizon.
The bride wore a fitted lace gown with an open back and a long trailing train, from the SoL and GRAVITE boutique, featuring designs by Pronovias, Vera Wang Bride, and ELIE SAAB Bridal.
Cocktails, Clear Acrylic, and a Different Pace
After the ceremony, the celebration moved up through the villa. For the cocktail hour, the shallow part of the pool became a relaxed lounge area, with ghost chairs and clear acrylic tables keeping the space feeling open and light.
Colorful cocktails, warm light, and the villa's modern interiors gave this moment a different energy from the ceremony -playful, easy, the kind of hour that doesn't want to end.
A Table Between Sky and Water
As the sun set, the rooftop became the next chapter. A long dining table, dressed in white with white floral arrangements of orchids, lilies, and hydrangeas, sat beneath a structure of curved bronze arms holding crystal chandeliers above the guests. From above, the table formed a cross shape against the rooftop's geometric lines, with the infinity pool and the sea visible beyond the edge.
By night, the whole rooftop glowed, the chandeliers and the table lighting visible from above against the dark water and the distant shore.
The Night Ends in Candlelight
The evening ended indoors, in the most intimate setting of the day. The team made a deliberate choice here: no floral centerpieces. Instead, a long, continuous line of candles ran the full length of the table, giving the room a warmer, darker, more private feel. Branching installations hung overhead, catching the candlelight from above.
The couple stood at the end of the table in its golden glow, the whole room reduced to light and shadow. Romance without formality. Elegance without effort. A wedding day that moved like a story, from beginning to end.
