I dabbled in film and digital photography in high school and 9 years later here I am finally pursuing my passion! I love capturing your special moments so you can treasure them for a lifetime. I take candid and natural shots and don't like to pose you like a 70's family portrait unless you're into that sort of thing! I'd love to meet you and chat over tacos, donuts, or whatever!

Unsatisfactory service
We did a little city shoot and Janel did an excellent job of making us feel comfortable. I usually feel kind of awkward when a camera’s around, but Janel directed us smoothly and I felt like we were just being ourselves. When I saw the results, I couldn’t believe how beautiful they came out! I don’t even remember taking or posing for some of them, that just shows how Janel is always ready to take those intimate beautiful moments. I really enjoyed my time with her and the photos came out lovely.
J Whitt Photography is by far the best photography I have experienced. Janel is so beyond sweet and makes you feel so comfortable. It feels like your friend is taking pictures of you. My husband truly dislikes photos and he has thoroughly enjoyed all our experiences with Janel. The photos never feel forced and have a natural genuine look and feel to them. I will continue to use this company for all my photography needs. I would highly recommend her to everyone! Don’t hesitate booking with Janel!
Janel is an amazing wedding photographer. We couldn’t be happier with our pictures. They were not only beautiful, she was able to capture the feeling and emotions of our wedding day.
I loved working with Janel. She was able to capture everything I was looking for in a picture. She’s very fun and professional at the same time. I enjoyed that she was there to cheer me on and to help me pose. Her friendliness gave me all the confidence I needed. I was impressed at how much attention she paid to details. The artistic flair that she incorporated into the pictures makes every single one of them original. Needless to say her effort is revealed through the quality and quantity of the pictures.
This coming May, my husband and I will be celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary and a photo shoot seemed like the perfect way to celebrate the occasion. We could not be any happier with our photographer selection! Janel made us feel so comfortable during the shoot, her eye for detail and selecting back drops are incredible… a normal street is transformed when the right detail is emphasized through the lens and that is exactly what she does! Me and my husband tend to tense up during shoots but her warm personality and approach to photography truly set us at ease, and must of all she made it fun and natural! Her talent comes through in the clear direction she gives to get the shots we wanted, she is truly amazing and I can’t wait to work with her again!
Janel did such a great job on our engagement photos! She made us feel so comfortable, and she knew where to place us to get the perfect shot. Our photos turned out exactly how we wanted them. My husband and I can’t wait to have more photos done with her soon!
