I am leaving this review as a warning to other couples and as a matter of accountability for Vignette Gardens.

Michelle and Bernard booked Vignette Gardens in good faith for their wedding and made payments toward that specific venue. After the change in ownership, we were informed that the wedding could no longer take place at Vignette Gardens as originally contracted.

While Vignette Gardens did not say they had an issue issuing a refund, the proposed refund timeline was not reasonable given the circumstances. Their first proposed refund payment would not begin until October, even though the couple now has to secure a replacement venue, manage existing vendor commitments, and deal with the financial and logistical impact of losing the venue they contracted and planned around.

At first, communication was responsive, but the information provided was vague and focused on other acquired venues rather than a clear resolution for the original venue. Those other venues were not what the couple booked, planned for, or paid toward. Once we made it clear that the couple was only interested in Vignette Gardens, as stated in their agreement, and that the proposed refund schedule was not acceptable under the circumstances, communication became significantly less responsive.

What is especially concerning is that automatic payment reminders are still being sent, even though the venue cannot currently honor the original wedding plans and the refund timeline remains unresolved.

Couples should be very cautious before booking. When a venue can no longer provide what was contracted, the burden should not fall on the couple to wait months for reimbursement while also having to pay for a new venue. Weddings require major financial planning, vendor coordination, and time-sensitive decisions. A venue should communicate clearly, act with urgency, and take accountability when their own operational changes impact a couple’s wedding.

Unfortunately, that has not been our experience with Vignette Gardens.
