So Tender Is Humanity Photographer

It's hard to put into words the gratitude I have for Anastasiia and Alex and their support leading up to/for our very small wedding in May ('22).

My husband and I were in a tricky situation, trying to plan a wedding that we weren't sure would be able to happen due to a terminal illness of a parent. I reached out to So Tender Is Humanity and explained the situation, my "hopes and dreams" for the photos we were hoping to have from this special day, etc, and I got a response almost instantly from Anastasiia expressing their compassion and enthusiasm to help our vision/memories come to life. They quickly arranged a call (a call they made happen despite them not working that day!) to chat about all of the details, the difficult circumstances we were facing, and Alex made me feel heard and not pressured into any instant decisions. I told them I unfortunately couldn't confirm anything quite yet, but as soon as we got word that (/if) it could happen, I'd reach back out.

Fast forward to a couple weeks later and I was able to confirm that we were moving forward with the wedding. Communication and planning were seamless (even though I was emotionally/logistically all over the place), and Alex showed up on time, ready to go, with a big smile on his face. Not only was he lovely to have around, but he fit in perfectly with everyone and breezed through the day - everyone said he was such a pleasure and was so subtly taking photos that they barely noticed a camera around, helping them (us) all look so natural!

He was also incredibly patient with us. Due to the health circumstances, we couldn't have a "hard timeline" for the events of the day, and everything ended up running (quite) late. As I didn't have my phone/watch on me throughout the day, I had completely lost track of time and didn't realize he had stayed past our "contracted time"... but nonetheless he didn't rush us, change his attitude, or try to jet out abruptly. Once I noticed the time and we apologized profusely, he graciously said it was no problem, and he that he would make sure we got our last few family photos together before he'd head out.

The photo turnaround time was also quick, allowing us to share the memories with our full family and relive the moments of the day together. Being able to experience this with our parents meant the world.

Anastasiia and Alex, I want to express my/our sincere appreciation for your patience, understanding, and positive vibes through it all. The photos are natural, emotional, beautiful, and captured moments that we'll treasure for a lifetime. Thank you - you two truly represent the tenderness in humanity that often feels lost, and to encompass that energy for special moments like this is truly something special. Thank you

Alex and Anastasia were wonderful throughout our wedding photography experience. They were enthusiastic, engaged, attentive, and punctual through the entire process. Alex was creative and collaborative for our engagement shoot -- his recommended locations proved to be gorgeous. During our wedding, Alex and Anastasia captured all of the important moments from a variety of perspectives -- my sister-in-law exclaimed how the photos looked better than real life! Their video compilation and curated galleries were lovely! I had a few edits I wanted and Alex and Anastasia were incredibly receptive. Overall, my experience was phenomenal, my husband and I are so happy we chose So Tender Is Humanity for our special day.

I can’t say enough good things about Alex and Anastasiia. I got married last Oct and Alex did the most amazing job. He was professional and on time for all of our calls, engagement shoot, meetings and the actual day of. The day of, he somehow managed to be everywhere, all at once while still being unobtrusive and making everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. He provided helpful feedback along the way and gently guided us when we felt awkward in front of the camera. He truly captured the love, joy, and fun that we had that day. Alex and Anastasiia are wonderful photographers and incredible human beings. We got married in July last year, and it was an honor to have these two wonderful souls capturing our wedding. With them, everything was seamless, kind, and easy - from setting up the first phone call, to conveying our vision for the celebration, to photographing our memorable evening, to receiving the images. Every step of the way also felt personal; we could tell that they really care about what they do. We also really enjoyed getting to know them as individuals. During the wedding, I remember being amazed by how much fun it looked like they were having with their work - at some point I noticed Alex dancing on the dance floor with the guests while taking pictures - and those ended up being some of our favorite images! Alex and Anastasiia are talented, passionate, kind, and very attentive. We will recommend them to our friends for all their important events!
