We hired Mel to photograph our daughter’s bridal and engagement portraits and later wedding in Baton Rouge. She also joined us in North Louisiana at our family lake house to photograph my two daughters and their children with my husband and me. She spent so much detailed time with us, and she truly became part of the family. The photos from these events are treasures, but the experience went beyond just taking pictures and now having them to reminisce. I wish Mel lived next door! I would never call on another photographer if she was in my city! Hire her. You will not regret it!!
Mel is a true artist with a huge heart whose style is unmatched. There are not a lot of photographers (or people even) who can understand my vision for a shoot, match me in style and deliver photos that are elevated beyond what I was even envisioning. Her work is impeccable and she delivers perfection. We started off with a business relationship and walked away with a true friendship. I CANNOT WAIT for my next shoot in Marfa with her! I've used the branding photos she took for me for THREE YEARS - talk about a high-value photoshoot. If you're thinking about shooting with Mel - absolutely DO IT! 10 stars :)

Melanie made our shoot fun and easy! She did a great job making everyone feel comfortable. She's also a pro at getting kids to cooperate (and taking great pics of them even if they're not). Highly recommend!

Melanie is wonderful and so talented! We used her to photograph our engagement and wedding and she was such a blessing! She’s so genuine and just makes you feel comfortable.
