Having Nate photograph our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. Nate truly is an artist and his work speaks for itself, but he blew our expectations out of the water. My husband and I are so fortunate to have the most high-quality photos to look back on and share with family and friends for years to come. The photos capture our day, including the significant moments but also the small in-betweens so perfectly. Nate and his team made us feel so comfortable from our engagement session to our wedding day and that comfort and bliss is encapsulated in every photo. Not only is Nate an amazing photographer and professional, he also is an amazing human. He shared in so many special moments on our big day and truly felt like a part of our family, not only capturing all of the happiness but sharing in it as well. We are so happy we choose Nate and J&N Studios and would do so 100 times over!!!

Finding and booking with Nate, of J&N Studios, was the best and most rewarding decision we made during our wedding planning process. From the moment we connected to book to the final dance of the night, Nate was with us every step of the way. He supported our ideas, offered his own creative designs, and flawlessly captured our engagement and wedding day. Nate is charming, funny, easy to be around, and makes people really comfortable - which makes all the pictures turn out so natural and candid. He is so easy going yet able to corral a large family and wild groomsmen & bridesmaids party. We have used all of his photography for our thank you cards, guest book, wedding album, and pictures around our home, and our family's homes. Each picture is lux, timeless, editorial, candid, and worth a thousand words. Nate, thank you!!

We got married this past October and Jess + Nate Studios have been a continued pleasure to work with!... From our engagement photoshoot, engagement pictures/guest book album designs, wedding day shot by both Nate & Rachel and wedding album/portraits designs...every ounce of professionalism, patients and attention to detail was always evident. I can't say enough great things! Our engagement & wedding photos turned out so beautiful, they have a natural knack for photography and capturing moments perfectly in a unique/timeless way. Jess + Nate Studios are talented and are always super helpful, accommodating with any request, understanding and go above & beyond expectations!...My husband, mom and I will truly miss working with Nate! Our whole experience throughout the year from our first meeting to our now album meetings have been so memorable & enjoyable. J & N Studios will be hands down the best decision you will make for an unforgettable wedding! From the moment we first met with Nate we knew he would be the perfect photographer for our big day as we completely fell in love with his natural style of photography and ability to capture the beauty in a single moment. Nate and his team really went above and beyond by not only capturing the most stunning photos of our day, but kept our schedule on track and made us feel so calm and relaxed during the day. Hands down Nate and his team was worth every $$$. I don't know what we would do without them! Thanks for everything!

If I could give Nate 100 stars, that still wouldn’t be enough.
Not only is he a fantastic, professional photographer, but he’s a down-to-earth, humble man who truly loves what he does. We had our family photos taken by Nate and I was blown away at his patience and professionalism. His approach is so easygoing and none of the session felt forced. He takes time to talk with you and really enjoys getting to know his clients. We have a 16month old that he was great with too. Nate was willing to use all the silly props I brought to get our son’s attention and even allowed a few breaks in between. He lets you be yourself and gives just enough direction without it feeling too posed. I could go on and on, but I’ll let his portfolio do the rest of the convincing. Book him! You’ll have no regrets. :)

Nate and his associate photographer Lisa were fantastic to work with for my wedding. I could not recommend them enough! My photos turned out gorgeous, they were great communicators throughout a difficult planning process with Covid, and they captured some specific shots I requested. An absolute pleasure!

Nate was nothing short of a dream to work with. We knew from his previous work he was a phenomenal photographer and we therefore had high expectations which he blew past those expectations. In addition to his professionalism and talent, he is incredible at making his clients feel comfortable. He is so personable and down to earth and truly cares about his clients. It feels like you are working with family when you’re working with Nate. It was such an honor to have him apart of the big day and I can confidently say there’s no other photographer I would recommend over him.

I’m Nathan,
the owner and lead photographer of J&N Studios. I have the distinct privilege of photographing the greatest moments of my couples’ lives for over 15 years and I would be honored & thrilled to capture yours!

I have a background in architecture and interior design by education, but I intentionally chose photography to meld my love of people, art, architecture, travel and experiences that have touched my life. Having both the technical & artistic expertise of lighting & composition, I use that knowledge to highlight the unique style, feeling & authentic moments that are all part of a wedding day celebration.

I currently reside in the Ann Arbor area with my loving wife & two children. I’m moved & inspired by my family and am grateful for the opportunity to support and care for them through my creative work. Our days are filled with experiences that connect us to our love of nature, travel, art, beach hunting…and lots and lots of music.
