My husband and I are forever grateful to Vivi and her team for our stunning engagement and wedding photos. From beginning to end, it was clear that Vivi is not only passionate about photography, but about each client’s unique story and desires for their experience. She has a deep understanding of wedding planning that allows her to ensure you’re able to enjoy the day while also capturing the pictures you want.
I am extremely picky about photography. After reaching out to 30 wedding photographers and interviewing 10, I knew right away when I started talking to Vivi that she was exceptional. Her photos are timeless, beautiful, balanced, and genuine. They look like fine art while also capturing the feeling of the moment. I was impressed by how she not only had an artistic eye, but is also very thorough and organized (speaking straight to my Type A heart). Her understanding of timelines, lighting, shot lists, and event flow is unmatched. Vivi is extremely professional—working quickly to share sneak peeks and edits, responding promptly, offering guidance and support, and always listening to feedback. Multiple vendors even commented on how great she was to work with.
While some photographers have a “you get what you get” attitude, Vivi maintains her own distinct portfolio style while also dedicating time to understand your lighting, color, style, vibe, and editing preferences. I highly recommend booking her for both engagement and wedding photos. Not only will you get amazing photos, but you’ll also get comfortable shooting with her—which is genuinely so fun. I don’t think I’ve ever had more fun on a photoshoot than with Vivi. :)
She even brought a veil and flowers to our shoot—just because she thought it would enhance the vision. That’s the kind of thoughtfulness she brings to every detail.
Most of all, Vivi is genuinely a kind, funny, energetic, and empathetic person. You can tell she loves what she does through her photos as well as the positive energy she brings to every event. I honestly feel like I made a friend just as much as I found the best photographer I possibly could have. Thank you so much, Vivi and team!

We were super lucky to have Vivi from La Venus Studio as our wedding photographer in March. Vivi was super professional and attentive to details. The first time when we met Vivi during our introduction call, we knew that she was the photographer we were looking for. Prior to our wedding, she asked detailed questions to get to know what kinds of photos we were looking for, our outfits, and our hairstyles etc. Vivi also walked through the timeline in detail with us, making sure that there was enough time to capture all the shots we wanted. On our wedding day, Vivi was very patient at guiding our poses and facial expressions. We were happy to see that the photos turned out to be stunning! We highly recommend Vivi :)

We just had our wedding last week, and our photographer, Vivi Lin, was absolutely amazing! She is not only professional but also incredibly hardworking and detail-oriented. She pays close attention to even the smallest details, ensuring that every photo turns out beautifully.

On our wedding day, we originally scheduled her team to arrive at 12 PM, but they showed up an hour earlier just to set up and prepare for us—how sweet is that? Her entire team was professional, well-coordinated, and did an outstanding job. They all knew exactly what to do and worked seamlessly together. Plus, they were super kind, sweet, and helpful throughout the entire day!

Even before the wedding, Vivi checked in with us multiple times, offering valuable advice and tips to help make our big day a success. I always say she was basically half of our wedding planner! My parents also loved her, and they couldn’t stop praising how hardworking and talented she is.

One of the moments that touched me the most on my wedding day was when I realized my main dress was a bit too loose around the chest because I had lost weight. I started panicking, worried that it might slip down. But Vivi stayed incredibly calm and immediately came up with a solution. She used the tie from another dress to adjust the fit, and it worked perfectly—solving the issue I was most anxious about.

If you’re looking for a photographer, I can’t recommend Vivi Lin enough! She’s truly the best!

I hired Vivi for my pre-wedding photoshoot in SF City Hall, and I was so in love with how the photos turned out!

To start out, I am so, so picky with the aesthetics of everything to do with my wedding, so I was fairly nervous selecting a photographer. However, from the start, Vivi set my mind at ease with how familiar and knowledgeable she was with the location, recommending a date and time to achieve the exact lighting effect I wanted, and she extensively reviewed all my inspirations and write-ups, clarifying with me exactly what I wanted. She also helped handle all the logistics for the photoshoot, including all the details and communications for makeup and hair, dress and tux rental, day-of photoshoot timeline, and directions and parking.

During the actual shoot, I felt confident and beautiful under her direction. We were able to capture all the shots I was hoping for, and more that she suggested. She was so professional and encouraging throughout the shoot, I finished the shoot feeling excited about how the photos would turn out.

When I received the photos, I couldn't be any happier with them. She delivered so many photos that were edited in precisely the style I was hoping for, and was very helpful when I asked her for advice on selecting photos for additional retouching (which was so hard because she was such a pro at posing us, I felt like none of them even needed to be retouched!). I couldn't recommend working with Vivi more!

We cannot thank our photographer Vivi enough for the amazing work they did on our wedding day. Their attention to detail was outstanding, and they managed to catch every meaningful moment without us even noticing. They had an incredible ability to make us feel natural and relaxed, ensuring that every photograph told an authentic story of our love and celebration.
