Ah Michelle, how do we love thee? Let me count the ways! Michelle indulged our every wish all while keeping our heads on straight. When my groom decided he wanted to ride in on a horse? Michelle got out there and found him horses. When we told her we needed a regale, multi tier cake with feathers? She found us the perfect cake shop. When we decided we needed Darth Vader and Two Stormtroopers to show up. She found and coordinated Darth and his Stormtroopers. It was a May 4th wedding. When we decided we needed Burlesque dancers? She made sure they showed up and showed out. And when we got shut down for a noise complaint, Michelle got the party rolling again. But there are so many other things. She is just a wonderful person who genuinely cares. My husband and I were able to focus on each other and not the nonsense. My guests were taken care of from start to finish. She will let you know when it’s time to worry and when everything is going to be fine. I have to say I was sad that after the wedding we wouldn’t be working together any longer. She’s just that good. What can I say...we were absolutely BLOWN AWAY by Michelle Norwood and her team! We would never have been able to have our dream wedding without her help. From our initial emails to then finding out our wedding was featured in Vogue, Michelle has been nothing short of exceptional. We are a couple based in London, who were adamant about having our wedding in New Orleans, after visiting once and Michelle made everything seamless and enjoyable! We didn't have any other contacts in New Orleans, so Michelle was our point of contact between every single vendor. We had specific requirements including wanting Southern BBQ food, daiquiris, and a courtyard wedding. We trusted Michelle and her team with every single detail. She went above and beyond for me as the bride, including booking and attending my hair and makeup trial. Having never met Michelle before we booked her, we now consider her a friend and would never hesitate to recommend her to anyone. We have told our recently engaged friends to consider using Michelle, as she is International. All our friends said that our wedding was one of their favourite days, and it was certainly OUR favorite day.

My now husband and I, hired Michelle and her team to help us execute our destination wedding in New Orleans. After one phone call with her, I knew she was the planner for us. She was so down to earth while still being strong in her knowledge and abilities to give us our dream wedding. Since we didn’t live in New Orleans, we really had to just trust Michelle to give us our dream because we really couldn’t be there. We gave her a realistic budget and she ran with it. Y’all...when I say she gave us our dream wedding, I mean she gave us our dream wedding. Every little detail was thought of, and none of that was me, it was all Michelle. She is the most genuine and hardworking person that I have ever met. She’s got your back and she treats you like family. She really listens to you and figures out a way to make your dream a reality. If you’re looking to hire a wedding planner in New Orleans (or really anywhere) I highly recommend Michelle and her team.

She stayed 100% on top of things, and when we were running behind she flawlessly streamlined the special events (dances, cake cutting) so that me, my husband, and our guests didn't miss out on any party time! Michelle Norwood is a fun, detail-oriented, dedicated, and powerful wedding planner in New Orleans. She was recently named best wedding planner by Harper’s Bazaar and I could not agree more. She is simply the best. The end. Planning a destination wedding during a pandemic is a nightmare, but Michelle was with us every step of the way as we had to pivot from our “dream” wedding. Since Michelle is so well-connected and knowledgeable about the wedding industry in New Orleans, the transition was very smooth. Our wedding day was magical and truly a DREAM come true despite the changes we made due to the pandemic. This is all because of Michelle. Her execution was flawless and still amazes me almost a year later. When our caterer walked out 3 weeks before the big day, Michelle handled the situation with power and poise. She was able to recover our deposit and find us a phenomenal caterer with 3 weeks notice. I truly cannot speak more highly of our experience with Michelle. We feel like we gained more than just a wedding planner, but also a friend.

Michelle is truly the absolute best at what she does. Patient and kind, honest and fun (and funny as hell!), she's become more than just our planner, she's our friend. Her responses are always quick, clear, and informative. She answered every question and found us truly wonderful vendors. If you're planning any kind of event, you won't find a better planner than Michelle Norwood. Worth every penny.

Michelle (& team) are amazing! They made our NOLA wedding dreams come true. From the moment we met with Michelle, she gave us the confidence and reassurance we needed to plan our destination wedding in New Orleans. With her expertise, she helped us narrow down our venue & vendor options based on what our vision was and we ended up with our perfect wedding day. She is direct, honest and professional which was very appreciated as there is a lot that goes into them and instead of agreeing with every (crazy) idea we had, she told us what should stay vs go and boy, are we thankful for that!
