Yana made me, someone who really dislikes being photographed, look beautiful on my wedding day. She also made the entire process comfortable for me. It was a joy to work with her on our special day.

We found Yana through a referral from another photographer and it was probably the best thing that could've happened! She initially set up an in-person meeting with us at Starbucks to get to know us better and go through a timeline to give us a rough idea of what our wedding day would look like. We instantly fell in love with her positive energy and bubbly-ness and knew we wanted her to be the one to capture all of our wedding memories. Throughout the wedding planning process, Yana helped us in more ways than just a photographer. She gave us recommendations for pictures and helped us with the timing of everything so we could coordinate with our other vendors - it truly was a wedding planning lifesaver! She was very quick to respond to emails or messages which is a plus in my book ;) On the day of our wedding, she was amazing! She arrived early and stayed until our sparkler exit. She was professional, efficient and still her bubbly self - many of our guests complimented her sweet personality as well as her way of maneuvering through the crowds to capture wonderful memories. Overall, I would highly highly recommend Yana for your special day, she definitely won't disappoint!

We were so happy to have Yana as a huge part of our wedding experience, for both engagement and wedding photos. She is not only an amazing photographer, she is also simply a wonderful person who will make any bride feel beautiful, comfortable, and excited on her special day. Her enthusiasm for photographing couples is genuine and warm, and this unique quality shows through in her photos. Yana and her team were extremely professional, prompt, and thorough- they made sure to capture all the specific moments we were looking for and more. Yana did an excellent job highlighting who we are as a couple, was flexible with our special requests, and made the process stress-free and fun. Our family and friends all raved about her work, and our 70-pound dog who participated in some of the photos loved her as well!

Hiring Yana as our wedding photographer was by far the best decision we made for our wedding. I would give her a million stars if I could! She is extremely talented and organized. We could not be happier with our wedding photos AND our engagement photos, which she did as well! We will treasure them forever. Yana made sure the whole day was going according to schedule and made sure we got all of the photos we wanted. She also made being photographed so easy! By the end, Yana truly felt like our friend.

I am so happy to have had Yana photograph our perfect day! A big thank you goes out to my sister-in-law and brother-in-law for having her photograph their wedding and allowing us to copy and ask Yana to do ours. She is so sweet and very professional. Larry and I didn’t know what to expect but by having our engagement photos be a trial run for the wedding helped us to become more comfortable with the poses. Booking Yana as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions my husband and I have ever made. From our initial consultation to the delivery of our gallery, Yana was sweet, organized and professional. At our engagement shoot, we got to know her and feel comfortable with her so by the time the wedding came, we were comfortable with her. She was so efficient at taking our photos and got all the shots we wanted, AND they came out better than we could have imagined. She is such a talented and kind person - I would definitely book her again.

If you are looking for amazing photos, a positive and relaxed planning experience and the best energy on your wedding day then Yana Shellman is your answer. We can’t say enough wonderful things about Yana! First she has the brightest and most positive energy and every time you speak with her she will energize you and excite you for your big day. Second she is a trooper, i really wanted our photos outside but it was freezing, snowing and super windy and Yana made it happen. She is also extremely detailed oriented and provides a wonderful sense of calm to a crazy morning by taking all the concern out of making sure you get all the pictures you want. Her work speaks for itself, her photos are beautiful and perfectly capture the feelings we shared on our special day. You can’t go wrong hiring Yana on such an important day you will be happy you did.

Hi! I am Yana Shellman. I will be modest and just say that I am an award wining wedding photographer :). I serve my clients located in NJ and Philadelphia area by capturing their wedding moments – moments that are expected to be captured and that are not. Those are the moments that are unique to your wedding only and that wouldn’t happen on someone else’s special day. I appreciate all emotions that are happening on a wedding day and will do my best to translate those emotions into beautiful wedding memories.

My photography style cannot be described in one word because weddings are so complex and I approach each part of the day in a unique way adjusting based on what best fits my clients needs and desires. I do try to create a wedding photo gallery that has variety of light and airy wedding photos using all natural light, and some that are a little moodier and has a little more contrast done with off camera flash normally after the sunset.
