I've shot with quite a few professional photographers and Rachel is by far the best-- not only is she a skilled photographer but a wonderful person! As a photographer myself, I know the importance of a good attitude and enthusiasm from behind the camera and Rachel had both in endless supply even with super windy conditions during our shoot. I loved how the images we received turned out and so did my boyfriend :) I will definitely be hiring Rachel in the future and if you are considering it you should too!

Rachel made our wedding experience so smooth. When we decided that 2020 was bogus & decided to elope, Rachel was professional and flexible with our dream. Although she was unavailable to travel on such short notice, she worked to contract another trusted photographer who captured our big day. Our photos were edited and delivered promptly. We can’t sing enough praises about Rachel’s artistic talent, personable style, and excellent communication!!!

Seriously..look no further!!! Rachel is the absolute best at what she does. She was extremely professional and timely in all our correspondence for our engagement & wedding photos! The quality of her work is exceptional. All my family and friends were so impressed with our photos. On top of all that her personality is amazing! She made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera when both my husband and I are very camera shy. I can’t say enough good things so I’ll just say you won’t be disappointed if you select her for your special day!

Rachel Joy Photo so beautifully captured our intimate wedding day! Due to the pandemic we completely changed our wedding plans, and Rachel was understanding of our last minute photographer requests. She was wonderful on the day of the wedding - there for the moments when we needed an extra hand (eg. when we couldn't figure out the buttons on my wedding dress!!) but allowed space to let natural intimate moments happen. Would highly recommend her to any bride & groom to be.

Rachel is an incredible photographer! She captured the spirit of my fiancé and I perfectly! She is super kind and easy to work with! She made us feel comfortable even though the idea of being photographed worried us. Rachel beautifully captured who we are and I am so thankful I picked her for engagement photos! She is quick to respond and easy to work with. She was very flexible and thought quickly on her feet when faced with a difficult location as we could only take pictures at PeaceArch park during winter. I cannot speak highly enough of Rachel and her work. And I cannot stop looking back through the photos! She is phenomenal!

Rachel was absolutely insane! She was super sweet and personal with us as the couple but also all of our guests. All of our friends have said that they want her to do their future weddings. She captured everything we wanted and more. I’ve gotten so many compliments on our photos and how beautiful they are and it’s so true. She also flew all the way out of state to do our wedding that was on a Thursday and then even went with us to a different location the day after to take more pictures in our wedding outfits. I couldn’t recommend her enough tbh. Just tying to have Rachel do all of our photos for every important event forever so.

If I was a billionaire and a photographer that photographed Beyoncè wanted to be our wedding photographer…. I would respectfully decline and choose Rachel. She was so attentive and present. She knew what to capture and honestly asked us if we needed drink, food, a break from everyone throughout our wedding. She was not just a photographer but also a friend. Someone who genuinely wanted you to enjoy your wedding and it paid off because you can see it through our wedding pictures. We will continue to book her throughout our lives because she is incredible and her entire booking process was super easy. Thanks Rachel for capturing our wedding.

We hired Rachel for our wedding and from our first phone call to getting our photos we are we’re in love with her and her work! The dedication, care, and love Rachel has for her art is astonishing. She captured our love so beautifully, it has been 4 months and our photos still bring tears to my eyes. Every personal touch, attention to detail, and time dedicated to your event or shoot with her is evident. She is also a blast to shoot with and I’ve never felt more beautiful! I could go on and on but long story short, please book with her and your memories will be everything you’ve ever wanted.

Rachel out does herself!! I found her through my sister in-law and was so impressed with my sis in laws photos I just knew I had to hire her for my own wedding the following year. Her range is amazing. I knew I wanted a moody classic PNW wedding and that’s exactly what she gave me. I also expressed my love for flash film and she made sure I had photos of the dance floor to last a lifetime. We also had the pleasure of doing a NYE staged shoot with her, and honestly those could have been the engagement photoshoot photos to use. On top of being a great photographer, she also becomes a great friend. She makes you feel comfortable and if you’re awkward and don’t know what to do with your hands, she will place you in the most dreamy pose with your person. We are not models by any stretch of the word, but when we got our photos back we felt so confident and happy. Cannot say enough positive things.
