10 years I’m Rinosha Ifthikar, Founder and Lead Planner at Cherish Luxury Weddings & Events, a boutique luxury wedding planning company based in Sri Lanka. I’ve been in the wedding planning industry for over 10 years, although my journey with weddings actually began much earlier. My professional background is in marketing, business development and corporate leadership, with an MBA and several years of international experience, including time in the UK. That background has shaped the way I approach weddings today. I bring together creativity with structure, strategy, attention to detail and, most importantly, a strong focus on the couple’s experience. At Cherish Luxury, we plan everything from intimate celebrations to large multi-day and destination weddings across Sri Lanka. For me, luxury is not simply about how a wedding looks. They looked at things that I wouldn't think of. They gave honest and helpful advice. They always steered me in the right direction. They were very hands on both prior that my wedding day and the day of. They had great communication between their team members on the day and I didn't need to think of what was next. I felt so at ease with them especially since I live overseas
We honestly don’t know how to thank Rinosha, Upadhya and the entire Cherish Luxury Weddings team enough. From the last minute surprises to the weather throwing curveballs at us, they handled every single obstacle with so much calm and grace, we never once felt panicked because we knew they had it covered.
What really stood out was how they kept everything on track even when we (repeatedly) forgot things we were supposed to do. They were patient, organized, and always one step ahead of us, making sure our day stayed exactly as we’d envisioned it, if not better. Because of them, we didn’t have to worry about a single thing on the day, we could just be present, soak it all in, and actually enjoy our own wedding.
Thanks to them, our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more. We are so, so grateful for their hard work, dedication and the love they clearly put into making our day special. Cannot recommend them enough to any couple planning their big day!

From our very first meeting, we just clicked with Rinosha. She immediately understood our vision, very clearly explained what the planning process would look like, and shared a comprehensive folder with monthly checklists to help us organise ourselves leading up to the big day. She also helped narrow down our florist, and guided us through confirming our remaining vendors, ensuring they all perfectly fit in with our vision.
A special thanks to Sajini for being an absolute firecracker! For guiding us the last few months and was always available whenever we had questions or needed advice. Every little issue that came up was sorted out before I even had a chance to worry about it.
The CLW team curated the perfect event flow and executed everything so beautifully and efficiently. The entire team really made sure i could completely relax and enjoy every moment of our wedding day without any stress.

And finally, Sajani, the woman of the hour! From the very beginning, talking to her felt like talking to a friend. She is honestly the freaking best. She was so organised, completely on top of everything and constantly brought up important details that we would have otherwise missed. We genuinely could not have done this without her.
