Hi, I’m Mia, the owner and creative director behind Sunny Side Events. I’m a wedding planner and designer based in Las Cruces, New Mexico, specializing in intentional, design-forward weddings and elopements. I actually got my start in wedding planning in a very organic way. My first wedding was for a vendor friend something completely spur-of-the-moment out in the desert. It wasn’t a big production, but it was thoughtful, creative, and incredibly personal. That experience really showed me how powerful it can be to bring people together in a way that feels meaningful and true to them. From there, that one wedding naturally turned into more. I realized how much I loved not only planning events, but designing them thinking through every detail, the overall feeling, and how everything comes together to tell a story.That’s what led me to create Sunny Side Events.
