WE LOVE EMILY!!! Seriously, she's actually amazing! She is incredibly organized, hardworking, patient, efficient, comforting, and obviously talented as a photographer. We got married during a snowstorm in January, and she gave us the most magical pictures!!! We got everything we wanted, from soft, romantic pictures, to more dramatic shots too. We absolutely cannot recommend her enough!!!
Emily is the best! She truly goes completely above and beyond for her clients. Her photos are absolutely stunning and she really captures each moment perfectly. She even stepped up far beyond her role as a photographer to ensure the day went smoothly behind the scenes. She was extremely kind and easy to work with. I would recommend her in a heartbeat! It is incredibly difficult to choose my favorite photos as all of them turned out perfectly!
Emily was amazing and we would choose her again 100x over! She got to know us as a couple, understood what we were looking for from our photos and even made connections with our close family to make everyone feel comfortable and taken care of - by the time wedding weekend came around she felt like family! The most difficult part of the whole experience was narrowing down our favorites for an album we love them all!!!
Emily was the photographer for my wedding in May of 2025, and I could not have asked for a better person to be on my vendor team. Emily was recommended to us by our wedding planner, and as soon as we had our first consultation call we connected. Emily was willing to travel to us in North Carolina for our engagement pictures, which were a mix of classic and denim graffiti shots, and they turned out just as I imagined them. She gave us an easy to navigate gallery we were able to share with family and friends with ease. She stayed in close contact with both us and our wedding planner as the plans progressed to be sure she was kept up to date with our vision. On the day of the wedding she brought a second shooter, and both were indispensable members of the team. Emily was so protective of me and my peace while navigating a very busy art museum during prom season while preparing for my ceremony on the terrace, and without her I probably would’ve been less than gracious. She was incredible at posing my husband and I, and kept our wedding parties and families herded with such poise and grace. We just received our gallery, and to say Emily captured the day would be an understatement. Emily gave us a vision into our day that we never would’ve had without her. We are so grateful for the care, time, and energy she put into making sure there wasn’t a moment missed. We will cherish all our photos, and are so appreciative of the magic Emily worked on our day.
Me oh my Emily Millay is the best person you could ever choose to photograph your wedding! Not only was she our photographer for our wedding, photographed newborn and family photos for our family, but she has become truly a part of our family! Our day wouldn’t have been nearly as perfect without her! The attention to detail, ability to wrangle even the toughest crowds, and all doing so with a smile! Will always be thrilled we had Emily!!!!

We know we made the right choice in having Emily Millay as our wedding photographer when we look back at our wedding photos and see the very best memories of our perfect wedding day captured between two people who know they've married the love of their life, while additionally, there are many photos of the people that surrounded us with love that day. Knowing some of those individuals will not be with us forever, it was important to us to have photos not just of us, as bride and groom, but of our beloved family and guests. The investment in a thoughtful, talented, and professional photographer like Emily is worth every cent when after a single day goes by way too fast, all one's left with are photos.
Capturing so much of every detail, within a number of hours is no easy feat, yet she captures every moment in stunningly exquisite intimacy, light, beauty. She also takes professional charge when there are many personalities to gather for group photos (an underrated, but very important skill!) There were so many details of our wedding I'd planned meticulously for, yet one can't see and experience it all, and so I was so grateful for photos of the beautiful details of that day because there were captured by Emily and her assistant.
