21 years Toby Kassoy was born and raised in Southern California. During her college years, she moved to Eugene, Oregon, where she first fell in love with floristry. Upon returning to Los Angeles, she spent eight years working in the entertainment industry, but flowers always tugged at her heartstrings. In 2004, she decided to leave her corporate job and open Lilla Bello, a name inspired by the beautiful lilac bushes she fondly remembers outside her kitchen window in Oregon. She found her niche by offering not only exquisite floral designs but also the highest quality of service and attention to detail. Lilla Bello takes on only one full-service wedding per weekend, ensuring that every client receives a personalized and stress-free experience. Toby personally handpicks all the florals for each celebration. Absolutely exquisite wedding florals! And, the very best vendor to collaborate with. Our team planned this gorgeous event and we loved working with Toby and her talented team. From start to finish, it was a pleasure working with Lilla Bello to make wedding day dreams and vision come true.
Toby of Lilla Bello is, hands down, the absolute best florist we could ever have chosen for our wedding day. From the moment we met I knew that she would be able to make our colorful floral dreams come true and was immediately proved correct just with her initial presentation. As a bride who had never pictured my wedding day, my only requests were colorful and textured. With just that, Toby knocked it out of the park.
In addition to our gorgeous and colorful ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception she put together a stunning fruit-centric welcome dinner. It’s been a few months and our guests are still talking about how beautiful each event was.
I truly wish we could get married all over again just to work with Toby and her gorgeous flowers again. Thank you for everything, Toby, you truly made our wedding the most beautiful we’ve ever seen!

After stubbornly refusing the idea of flowers for a while during the wedding planning process, we were introduced to Toby, who ended up being my absolute favorite vendor to work with (which is saying a lot because we had a seriously rockstar team supporting us).
Our initial "get to know each other" meeting was effortless and Toby seemed to immediately hone in on ideas that felt true to us, our vision, and our budget. After receiving her initial proposal/inspiration photos, Toby worked with us to refine our ideas -- I wanted to feel like I was standing in/holding a field of crazy/tangled (but ~elevated~) wildflowers and she absolutely delivered. We ended up with the world's most gorgeous yellow flower arrangements (inspired by the mustard blooms so characteristic of springtime here on the CA central/south coast). Between the ceremony half-circle "meadow", to the most stunning bouquets (which are still going strong 8+ days post-wedding!), and seriously incredible pocket squares for the guys (I totally didn't know this was a thing before, but DO IT! They looked amazing and unique), I can't choose my favorite arrangement. Because of our tighter budget, Toby worked during cocktail hour to rearrange/repurpose our ceremony meadow for our reception area (in front of the band, bars, etc.), which was still just as stunning.
We got endless compliments from our guests on how unique, vibrant, and truly beautiful our flowers were. I would 1000% work with Toby again in the future, and can't recommend her enough!

She helped create the magic that was our daughter's wedding. The Chuppah took my breath away. Toby cleverly repurposed the gorgeous floral arrangements for the aisle around the sweetheart table creating an enchanted garden for the evening. The tables had a mix of flowers that were beautifully composed to compliment each other. The room was awash in a romance of sorbet, pink and coral blooms all bought together with the perfect greens and a touch of blue, surrounded by candles of different heights. Toby also lends her keen eye,and commands the table scape which was perfect. Our guests kept asking: "who did the flowers?" Toby is a pleasure to work with. She collaborates with you on your vision, but also guides you in the right direction and has a strong opinion about what will and will not work from her years of experience. And, you should listen to her because she is very experienced. She is respectful of your budget and is the person to reign you in when you start to get fantastical. I really appreciated that! She is fun to work with. She puts your vision and her vision together on a digital vision board which is very helpful in the process. Toby keeps her paperwork on target and up to date and you always know where you are in the process with her. She is a consummate professional all around, and creatively one of the absolute best. So many great things to say about Toby and Lilla Bello! It was great working with LB for our February 2022 wedding. Toby really made my vision come to life. The floral arrangements, bouquets, and ceremony arch were absolutely perfect. I also especially love the vessels and candle holders she provided for the flowers. We got so many compliments from our guests about the floral arrangements. Toby was very friendly, communicative, and professional during the planning process.
