Meet John!
Born and raised in Hawaii, John started his photography career as a mall Santa photographer. He had fine art aspirations, but quickly realized that breaking into that world as a broke (but ambitious) 18-year-old was about as likely as showing up in Hollywood and immediately booking an Oscar-winning role.
Meet Lili!
From crying toddlers, he went on to taking tableside photos at a fancy seafood restaurant (he was literally the guy who would interrupt your romantic dinner to ask if you wanted to buy a photo, pre-smart phone), and then worked at the Hyatt Maui doing beach family sessions. He shadowed photographers, and eventually opened his own photography studio, JMC Photography Maui.

Working with John and Lili was a dream. My husband and I did our engagement photos in Maui and our wedding photos in Bel Air, Maryland and they were outstanding. John and Lili made us feel comfortable during the shoot (made us laugh a lot!), produced the highest quality pictures, and sorting through the sets with them was easy and pressure free. John and Lili are so professional and answered any questions we had with a positive attitude and never made us feel rushed or like we were a burden. It was just a joy working with them. I highly recommend Seventh Son Photography to anyone looking for a GREAT time and amazing, memorable, beautiful photos!
I loved having pictures taken by Lili and John, they were so much fun to take pictures with. I loved the whole experience of getting my hair &makeup done and then going to an adventure spot to take pictures. All of the pictures I'm absolutely in love with & I will be using them for all my pictures in the future!!
This photoshoot was an absolute blast! They provided an experience that money can only hope to buy. We enjoyed laughter and the whole process of it from beginning to end. The pictures were absolutely jaw dropping. Cannot rave about them enough!
