Hi! I'm so excited you're here! I have been doing photography professionally for 5 wonderful years, and I feel so lucky to get to do what I love for a living. Up until college, I did things the way I thought I was supposed to. The way others thought I was supposed to. This route never felt right, never felt true to me. So I decided to take a risk and followed my heart. Since then, it has led me here. To this beautiful career that I love so much, and I have never been happier.
Today, not only do I get to do what I love but I also get to help couples have a wedding day that they love and that feels true to them.
I've always been one to follow my heart, pursue what makes me happy, and find the magic in life. And I couldn't be more grateful that now I get to help my couples follow their hearts, and capture their magic.

Oh my goodness! Shannon was amazing. From start to finish she excelled in all aspects.
This was me and my boyfriends second shoot so we were both still a tiny bit uncomfortable with the idea of being in front of a camera. Shannon not only made us feel completely comfortable, but she was so friendly, funny and made sure to guide us in every way we needed. Our sneak peaks were everything and more. So dreamy and so fun. I loved the tones she chose and her direction to pose us in the best way. 5 stars for Shannon Yen Photography. Highly recommend booking with her.
