I grew up in Chicago and picked up my first camera around 13. I also used to make short films, using my two younger brothers as actors - what I would give to find those VCR tapes! I went to the University of Illinois, not for photography, but for Actuarial Science and Mathematics (nerd alert!). After working in corporate America for a few years, I decided I wanted to turn my passion into my career. And I haven’t looked back! I’m married to my beautiful wife, Jenny, and we have two amazing daughters, Olivia & Gianna! We currently live in Naperville, IL but before kids, we lived in Wicker Park, Chicago. (near Big Star!!!) I truly love photographing weddings. Capturing big life moments within a photograph and telling the story of a wedding is what drives me. It’s my passion. It’s my obsession. Seriously, I may or may not have a problem.

Wow! That is really the only way I can describe my experience with John. He was professional, personable and an amazing photographer. He put up with 90+ heat, crazy kids and a bride who wanted a lot of photos! The pictures came out better than I could have EVER dreamed. I would recommend him 100%. He captured the sweet moment and also the fun/vibe of the whole day. Do yourself a favor a book John. He is amazingly talented and has found his nitch in Wedding photography. Thankyou again John.
John took both our engagement and wedding photos and was fantastic to work with. We are so happy with our photos, which are more beautiful than we could have imagined! We wanted to go with someone who was going to take more artistic and creative shots than just your average posed photos, and that is exactly what John is good at. He knows how to use light and composition to put together a great shot, and he is laid back and easy to work with every step of the way.
We had a maternity photoshoot with John and cannot recommend him enough!!! He is a very talented professional whose work speaks for itself. He is very friendly, knowledgable, and accommodating. We had to work around bad weather, and his flexibility was appreciated more than he knows! Thank you for such an enjoyable experience that we will never forget!!! We cannot wait to show these photos to our princess once she arrives and look forward to doing more photoshoots with you in the future!
I cannot say enough good things about John. From our first phone call, down to our wedding day, he was professional, attentive to detail, and patient. Throughout the planning experience he was great about sharing his experience but also being mindful of what I was trying to achieve. On our wedding day he was great with picture suggestions and capturing all of the special moments. I couldn't be more happier with my decision to use John!
Where do I start?! John has been absolutely incredible to work with. I knew when I started wedding planning that I wanted to work with an independent photographer, who took pride in their work and listened to our less than typical ideas. He nailed it. For our engagement shoot, he told us to select a location (or two!) that we felt most comfortable. For us - that was a bar. He loved it! The photos came out amazing, we received a couple photos THE NEXT DAY, and the rest just about a week later. I received TONS of compliments. I've already passed his name on to a couple of my friends who have weddings coming up. He is such a breeze to work with, extremely communicative and really knows his photography. I can't imagine going with anyone else, my advice would be to book him before he fills up!
Efficient, professional, kind, and caring. Flexible scheduling, very good with kids, easy to talk to, and high quality equipment. Final family photos exceeded expectations 10 fold.
