From start to finish Dave and Laurie were a pleasure to deal with. They made things so simple and straightforward with booking and any prep needed and on the day Dave was so fun, easygoing and helpful that he really put us at ease. As two people who don’t love being in photos we were slightly dreading the photo side of the day but there was no need to worry - Dave was so fun, quick and discreet capturing us and our guests that we barely knew he was doing it. We are so thrilled with how our pictures came out and how quickly they managed to get them back to us - would highly recommend!
We honestly couldn’t recommend Awake and Dreaming enough. From the very beginning, Laurie was absolutely brilliant to deal with, always so helpful, friendly and quick to come back to us with anything we needed in the lead-up to our wedding.
Dave was our photographer on the day and he was just fantastic. He made us feel completely relaxed and comfortable, and everything felt so natural and easy. He captured so many beautiful moments throughout the day without us even realising he was there half the time!
We absolutely love our wedding photos. Looking through them brought back so many amazing memories and there are honestly so many that we love, it’s hard to choose favourites.

Dave was our photographer on the day and he was just fantastic. He made us feel completely relaxed and comfortable, and everything felt so natural and easy. He captured so many beautiful moments throughout the day without us even realising he was there half the time!

Booking Dave and Laurie was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.
My now-husband is verycamera-shy and was really apprehensive about being in front of the camera on the day.
Dave had him totally at ease instantly. He has such a relaxed, genuinely sound presence—so many of our guests commented on how lovely he was to have around. He was also great for the wedding morning tips - keeping us to time and giving the groom a few words of encouragement which were much appreciated! He completely blended into the day and captured the most stunning, natural moments without anything feeling 'posed' or awkward.
Behind the scenes, Laurie kept everything running seamlessly. The turnaround time on our photos was amazing, and the quality is second to none. They completely understood our wishes and managed to capture the true essence and magic of our wedding day.

Oh my god where do I even start! We booked Dave and Laurie three years before our wedding to make sure we got them for our wedding. From the first message they were so professional and just so easy to deal with. We first met Dave for our engagement shoot at the cliffs of moher. We were a bit awkward in front of the camera initially but he made us feel so relaxed and comfortable, so we quickly started having a laugh. It was the most beautiful evening but we did not expect just how good the pictures would be! We were absolutely blown away with how amazing they were. We then couldn’t wait for them to capture our wedding day. When Dave and Laurie came we immediately felt comfortable and started having a laugh with them straight away! They were so professional but also well able to crack jokes and just making the morning so special and memorable! I mean it when I say I couldn’t recommend awake and dreaming enough! There photos are just amazing! If you are a bride looking for photographers look no further and book these guys IMMEDIATELY!

Amazing photographers from start to finish. So helpful in the lead up to the wedding with any questions we had. Dave fitted in seamlessly on the day and it was also commented on by several guests. He was a pleasure to deal with and put us at ease throughout the day. Timings ran so smootly with him. Dave had images sent to Laurie and we had a sneak peak early the following morning which was so lovely. Some of these are some of my favourite images. Also it was a quick turnaround to have our photos both digitally and then to get our albums. The images are just amazing! Would highly recommend Awake and Dreaming!
We had Dave as our wedding photographer last October and I'm not quite sure the day would have ran quite as smoothly without him! Aside from being incredibly skilled at what he does, he was such a kind and calming presence on our wedding day and looked after our friends and family so well. He captured so much from an incredibly jam packed day (featuring all seasons of weather!) and the results were so special to us, we have pictures we will treasure forever as a result. Thanks for doing it all with a smile Dave and thanks to you and Laurie for looking after us so well throughout the whole journey.
We are so pleased with our amazing photos! Dave was our photographer and Laurie was amazing BTS. Our wedding was at the Armada and A+D know it so well, it was very relaxed and natural. There is no one who would know the weather and lighting better than a photographer who surfs, and our photos show it. We have been to a few wedding since and people are commenting on how great our photographer was on the day and from the photos. Lots of different style photos, natural candids, great family shots, and a few more arty ones, and some on a vintage film camera! Thanks so much guys! Clare + Sean x
Awake&Dreaming are the most incredible photographers, we’re so pleased we booked them for our wedding. Laurie and Dave provided a top-class service throughout the entire process and offered great advice for making the most of the day and locations. They’re super organised & professional, with a warmth and personal touch which meant we could relax knowing we were in safe hands for the big day.
