We were beyond fortunate to have selected JLB Photography for our wedding photos.  He was an integral part of our entire experience, making us all look and feel like supermodels.  He was enthusiastic, upbeat, creative, and very detailed. His commitment to capturing the moment perfectly is reflected in the output of his product.  While we have only received our social media reel because our wedding was just last week, it all of our friends and family are stunned by what Jeff has captured. We can't wait to receive the final output. An added bonus, he's a super nice man and the consummate professional.  If you're considering hiring him, do not hesitate. Just do it.  You will be glad that you did.

Working with Jeffrey was one of the very best choices we made for our wedding. From start to finish, he brought a calm presence that felt like an antidote to the natural stress of the day. His energy allowed us to be fully present with one another, never worrying about what was being captured because we had complete faith in him.

As a same-sex couple, we cannot overstate how comfortable and celebrated he made us feel. Many photographers default to traditional, heteronormative poses, but Jeffrey understood how to guide us with direction that felt natural, confident, and tailored to us. We are not naturally great at posing, and his clear, precise guidance was invaluable.

His artistry is undeniable. He captured it all—the emotional candid moments, the striking editorial shots, the architectural and design details, and even elevated portraits of our guests. These were far from simple photo booth snapshots; they are images our friends and family are genuinely excited to share, print, and frame in their own homes.
Beyond the beauty of each photo, his work has a timeless quality. While so many photographers lean into trends, Jeffrey’s images feel classic and enduring, the kind of heirlooms we know our kids and grandkids will cherish.

Jeffrey also collaborated seamlessly with our videographer and other vendors, ensuring everything flowed smoothly. He managed the timeline during the first half of the day, which gave us the rare gift of disconnecting completely from our phones and watches. On top of that, his turnaround time was unbelievable. We received a large set of images the very next day, which allowed us to immediately share with loved ones and relive the celebration.

Jeffrey is the absolute best. I've followed his photography for years on Instagram and was so excited it worked out for us to be able to work with him for our intimate wedding ceremony earlier this summer. From our first interaction, it was clear he would be kind, supportive, and genuine throughout the entire process. On the day of our wedding, he made my partner and I feel completely comfortable and at ease. He gave direction to us and our family and friends with confidence and patience. We love the documentary-style shots he captured. After the ceremony, while taking photos at our favorite places around the city, he was consistently two steps ahead of us thinking about the next shot, so that all we had to do was be present and have fun. It's clear he loves what he does. I recommend JLB Wedding Photography 100 times over!

JLB was the perfect choice for our wedding. In the early stages of our wedding planning, we looked at so many wedding photographers and none of them spoke to us... until we found JLB. His artistic style is so unique and expressive, and it fit the vision for our wedding so well. From the moment we started working with him, we felt assured that we had made the right choice. JLB was incredibly professional, organized, and knowledgable. He had a confident answer for every specific question we had (e.g., how do you take photos of people with darker skin tones).

Things got even better once we met in person for a pre-wedding/engagement shoot. We were so nervous about taking professional photographs, but JLB made us feel instantly comfortable. Within minutes, we were having so much fun running around town, listening to JLB's instructions, and taking museum-worthy photos.

Fast-forward to the wedding, and his approach was no different: he captured all of the right moments in picture-perfect fashion, all while being super organized and super friendly.

Where do i even begin? Jeffery was just incredible. I’m ashamed to admit how many Instagram pages I scrolled through to try to find a photography style I appreciated. And then lo and behold I came across JLB and I was instantly captivated. His style of photography is unlike any I had ever seen before. We were so fortunate he had our wedding date available and he was an absolute pleasure to spend our day with. He even helped my mom zip up my dress, I mean how many people can say that about their photographer? He was so kind, an amazing communicator, made everyone feel so comfortable and the whole day just felt effortless with him. We had some big personalities in our group and he just laughed along amongst the chaos of it all. I had expectations of our wedding photos based off my love for his work already but he completely exceeded them. They came out so beautiful, I can’t tell you how many people asked me where I found him. He was a joy to work with and was timely with getting photos done and understanding family dynamics considering my husband and I come from divorced parents. I could go on and on. I cannot recommend him enough. His work speaks for itself. Absolutely stunning. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!

Can't recommend highly enough! We had a small, fairly non-traditional wedding and Jeffrey was really flexible and attentive to what we needed. He also has amazing knowledge of Detroit-area venues and he already knew all the perfect spots to shoot at our hotel and ceremony spot.

He really cares about his art and his effort showed. We've received nothing but glowing complements about our wedding photos - Jeffrey goes above and beyond to find unique shots. The gifs were fun and his custom color processing was great, too; it let us choose which mood we liked best for each photo.

Congratulations, you can stop scrolling and looking for a  photographer--you found the best one. Working with Jeffrey was the best experience my wife and I could have asked for. Jeffrey's vision, work ethic, and ability to capture the best moments of our wedding were absolutely unparalleled. I'm the shy husband who doesn't like to be in photos and Jeffery made both our engagement photo shoot and wedding a fun and engaging experience that showed through in our photos.
