Leilani Social Planner

We recently used Danielle and her team for our wedding on 12/8 in Playa Del Carmen. We met with her in April to discuss logistics, and from that moment, we knew we were in great hands. She walked us through how everything would work with her and her team and what to expect and then gave us all the information we needed to fill out when we met again, six weeks out from the wedding.

Her timeline was PERFECT. Everything was mapped out to the minute, and it was incredibly comforting to know that this was the timeline that Leilani and all the vendors would follow. She is very experienced, so we completely trusted her and did not regret it. We couldn’t see the venue, vendor items, food, etc, in person before our wedding, but Leilani ensured it would go seamlessly regardless. She was available through text, email, phone, Zoom, etc, whenever we had any questions.

She came to Mexico (for 24 hours!) to support us on our big day and efficiently handled each vendor. We never felt stressed or rushed because we knew Danielle had everything in order. She kept everyone aware of what was going on and what was happening next. It would’ve been a different and stressful day without her presence.

All of this is to say if you’re considering working with Leilani, DO IT. She will guide you through your wedding every step of the way with ease, professionalism, directness, kindness, and joy. We are so thankful we worked with her.

We had a vision for our wedding, and wanted something we felt would be meaningful and represent us and our lives, but also were on a very tight budget. With our venues in mind (our local public park for the ceremony, a patio at our HOA’s community center for the reception, and an after party at our home) and only 6 months until our selected wedding date, we went to Leilani Social to ask if they could help us make it happen.

Kim was assigned as our coordinator, and took the challenge in stride. Another team member worked with us and Kim as a designer, and soon they helped us develop a cohesive vision and start thinking about the logistics, securing vendors, and making the many dozens of small but critical decisions to make our wedding day feel like us.

Kim met with us many times leading up to the wedding date, coordinated all of the vendor communications by email, and always made time to address our questions and concerns--no detail was too small. She helped coach us through selecting rentals and the minute-by-minute plan for the day, and when we needed to pivot last minute to doing DIY flowers to save money, she supported us through that, too! This review would end up the length of a novel if I tried to cover everything, but just to give a couple examples: Kim helped us design custom drink menus for our reception, found alternatives for glassware and decor when we found out we couldn’t have glass or open flame at our venue, and made sure we got a refund from our rental company for the few small items that were missing (which we of course, never even knew about because the Leilani Squad just handled it!). The day before the wedding, Kim met with us and our bridal party to run an efficient and helpful rehearsal, exuding competence and kindness while making sure everyone was ready for the next day.

On the wedding day, four amazing Leilani Social team members were present to make it all happen. My day as bride started with a sound bath hosted by one of Leilani’s wellness vendors (the wonderful Stephanie with Soul Sounds Alchemy) for myself and my bridesmaids. To be completely honest, I was a bit skeptical at first (especially since it meant we’d have to start our day earlier) but it ended up being so lovely and grounding (thank you, Danielle and Stephanie!). My “lady-in-waiting,” Lulu, was amazing, and she spent the whole morning with us, keeping us on track time-wise and helping with all of the little things that came up, like steaming the skirt of my dress.

Kim worked tirelessly to transform our blank canvas venues into the magical settings we had envisioned together for ceremony and reception. Arriving at the spaces and seeing our vision realized was an amazing experience. But as bride and groom, our hope was to truly be in the moment and enjoy the day, and Kim, Danielle, and the rest of the Leilani Squad made that possible. They took care of everything, arranging our many DIY elements, receiving each of our many vendors, making sure our guests got from one place to another, and responding to the inevitable hiccups so that the two of us could just enjoy each other, our guests, and our beautiful celebration. As a note, Kim was the last to leave the reception site hours after we did, making sure everything was in top shape and transporting extra drinks and supplies to our nearby home for the after party. She was a champion, and went above and beyond for us.

It was truly the best day of our lives, and truly wouldn’t have been possible without Kim and the Leilani Squad. We can’t thank you or recommend you highly enough!

Last year I was in between jobs and was looking to stay involved in the event industry. I was so lucky and grateful to find Leilani Weddings’ Internship program. The entire application process was smooth and straightforward which was much appreciated. Danielle and Sara were very organized and fair in dividing up work among all the interns. They provided guidance and help when needed and it was great being a part of a collaborative team. I assisted in social media campaigns and contributed to their blog as well. There was also room to grow and take on other tasks toward the end of the program. Unfortunately, I did have to leave the internship early due to a new job, but I wish I could have stayed through the duration of the program. Working with Danielle, Sara, and the rest of the Leilani team was an enjoyable experience, and I would recommend an internship with Leilani Weddings to anyone looking to get into event/wedding planning.

We booked Leilani Weddings almost a year in advance for our wedding on Sept 2 2022. Danielle worked with us in the beginning to find a planning/coordination package that worked for our budget. We had access to their portal which had a bunch of great tips/resources, and my husband got a discount on his suit through their partnership with FriarTux! We filled out a very detailed and extensive Google sheet which was a bit time consuming but it's how they have all the information we need them to have so I'm glad we did a three month package so I could work on it over time. Although Danielle herself wasn't there on wedding day, she was on all of our calls and their head of operations, Crystal checked in with us weekly in the month leading up to the big day. Our day-of coordinators kept us on track with timeline and did so much set up for us. The day went smoothly and I wish I could live that day over and over! Very glad we had their team of capable ladies helping us out.

Working with Danielle has been an amazing opportunity! Being part of the LW Squad has been truly amazing. She has taken me under her wing and let my skills as a coordinator grow. She has such a talent taking people and modeling them as well as put them in positions where they fit. The weddings I have worked so far have been a lot of fun but also rewarding seeing the success of beautiful celebration to go on as a hit and seeing the couples and guest so happy! Not only are the weddings beautiful but the other events Leilani Weddings put on and are apart of are unique and one of a kind, and that's what I love about Leilani Weddings!! LW Team are amazing bunch of ladies, I highly recommend hiring our wonderful team. If you're looking for a unique and up with the trends this wedding company is for you!!

Working as an intern for Leilani Weddings was an experience like no other. Danielle is very hands-on with the interns, teaching us skills that we can carry with us moving forward even once the internship has come to an end. Our tasks ranged from sending emails to vendors for our brides as well as curating playlists for every bride's special day. Danielle gave us tasks that require huge responsibility that must be handled diligently. Once we fulfilled our tasks I recall feeling very accomplished because I knew the work we put in was well worth the results. Each intern is delegated specific roles that play into the bigger picture of the Leilani Weddings brand; from running social media accounts, finding vendors,to working with magazines to be published in articles. It truly was a dream to see the work that we all put in, ultimately pay off to ensure the most quality wedding planning. Danielle is a team player and is amazing at cultivating an awesome workplace for everyone who joins the Leilani Weddings Team. I am very thankful for my experience.

I had 80 people at the W loft in BK. Don’t hesitate and please book Pamela in NYC. She truly goes ABOVE and BEYOND. Every other event planning vendor I reached out to had terrible communication and took so long to respond to my inquiries. Pamela reached out to me and made me feel so comfortable and well taken care of since day one. My wedding shower was amazing and Pamela made sure my vision came to life. Unfortunately, it rained so bad that day but she did what she had to do and I am so thankful for her. Pamela allowed me to be stress free on such a special day. Danielle was also amazing and you can tell she really cares about who her team works with. Thank you ladies!

Danielle reached out to me the night before my wedding. I planned absolutely everything myself and really didn't think I needed a planner for the day of the wedding. That night we were able to plan every minute of my wedding day. What a relief! I was oblivious of how hectic it would be if I didn't have Leilani Wedding's extraordinary team. Danielle connected me to Pamela, who was a God send. Pamela was one step ahead of everything that needed to be done, from getting people seated to even the officiant paperwork. Having her present took a load off of my back and my day was stress free in regards to the flow of the wedding. I'm so very grateful and I highly recommend Leilani Weddings and her team for any event you may have.

Let’s face it, Covid wedding planning wasn’t very fun. There was a lot of uncertainty and postponing. However, every time I talked to Taylor O, my planner at Leilani Weddings, I felt excited again. She was the perfect fit for me and made me feel productive and kept me on track! I knew fr om the moment I met Danielle, the owner of Leilani Weddings, that I would be in good hands. She is such a warm, bright soul who nailed our style in our lookbook. Then Taylor became my lead planner and my saving grace. I am the most indecisive, not very design oriented engineer but with a strong opinion and she navigated it so well and never made me feel bad about it! I bought A LOT of decor for my wedding at Temecula Creek Inn and while I knew wh ere I wanted some of it placed I put full trust in Taylor for the design and decor and she killed it. I don’t know what kind of magic her and Danielle and their assistants have but everything was stunning and the best part was my family and I got to enjoy the morning and not have to worry about doing any decorating. It was a huge weight off my shoulders and my loved ones! She even helps box everything up at the end of the night to make cleanup go way faster so we could continue the party. Honestly Taylor was my wedding fairy godmother and I wouldn’t have had the most perfect, beautiful day without her.
