Kate is AMAZING. Not only is she an extremely talented photographer, but her organization skills and communication were excellent throughout the entire process. She provided a wonderful blend of guidance and flexibility to help us fit photos seamlessly into our day, and several of our guests commented on her professionalism. I can't say enough good things — we absolutely love our photos, and we HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for wedding photographers!

Kate is an absolute delight - neither my husband nor I are very natural in front of the camera, but she did such a great job making us feel extremely comfortable and confident. She delivered over 1550 photos for our wedding (!), and we were stunned by the quality of every single one. Her candids are especially beautiful -- Kate has a true gift in capturing the emotion and joy in everyone's faces. She also is just super fun to have around on the day and during the wedding planning process. She worked seamlessly with our planner and was extremely flexible with us with all of the little needs and requests we had. She also sent us little gifts along our planning journey which really made us feel like she cared about us not just as clients but as people, too (something I know from many friend's photographer experiences is extremely unique). Can't recommend her highly enough - go ahead and book!

This review is so long overdue - Kate photographed our wedding in June 2023 and we could not be happier with our decision to work with her. She made us feel so comfortable and happy on our day and we look at our photos literally every single day. Kate will be your biggest cheerleader all day along and you will absolutely love your photos. Other than marrying your person, choosing to work with Kate will be the best decision you make on your wedding day!

I’d recommend kate over and over and over again to anyone! She has a sweet and mellow demeanor, and made my husband and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera for our engagement photos as well as on wedding day. Not only is her work stunning, but we had a storm brewing right before our outdoor ceremony and Kate’s calm and positive presence was everything I needed to shift my own perspective into a positive one. She was able to shift our family formals indoors and I have no doubt they’ll be equally as beautiful and well lit. Her and Tony work wonderfully together and we are so thankful to have had them there on our day.

At least in our experience, photographer can be one of the most difficult vendors to find—they play such a huge role on your wedding day, they can make up a large part of the budget, and most of all, you’re entrusting them to capture some of your most important life memories. Thus, you need someone that you not only like, trust, and feel comfortable around, but also someone whose artistic vision you believe in and whose images you will treasure for many years to come.
Luckily, with Kate Ann Photography, you get all of this and more. From the moment you have your first consultation with Kate, you immediately get the sense that she is energetic, curious, and on your team 100%. Her photography philosophy is not just to take surface-level, “pretty” photos (though her images are stunning)—it’s to genuinely capture the beauty of your wedding day love stories, which includes you, your partner, and all your guests/loved ones. What we loved most about working with Kate was her artistry, commitment to authenticity, presence, and preparation. As others have mentioned, Kate understands that being in front of the camera is not natural for most people, so she does everything in her power to help you feel relaxed, engaged, and confident. She also invests an immense amount of time and energy into understanding who you/your partner are and what’s important to the two of you, so she can best bring your story to life—for example, she will want to know what your special songs are, whether there are any inside jokes that never fail to make you laugh, who the most important people in your life are, and what kind of images you are most excited to have captured (i.e., a private moment with your sister while getting ready, getting your groove on on the dance floor, family formals with your found family, etc.). Then, on your wedding day, she and Tony come armed not only with a plan for how to put this knowledge to good use (they had a playlist of our favorite songs and knew the names of all of our wedding party and family members), but also just have the best hype and vibes for your wedding day! All of our friends and family remarked on how much they appreciated Kate and Tony’s positivity, energy, and warmth, especially during more taxing or stressful moments. If Kate’s photography and editing style are what you’re looking for, do not hesitate to book her—I promise you will not be disappointed!

Hiring Kate was seriously one of the best choices we could've made for our wedding. From our very first meeting she was so professional, detail oriented, and also very kind and interested in getting to know us. First she shot our engagement photos, and she did such a great job of helping us feel comfortable in front of the camera. We were blown away by how gorgeous the engagement photos were and we knew the wedding photos would be incredible as well. On the wedding day, we had a tight photography schedule involving multiple locations, but Kate and her husband Tony are total pros and kept everything running smoothly and on time!
Kate is also the most prepared person I've ever met in my entire life- she came to the rescue with a tide pen when I got an unexpected stain on my dress, she had bug spray when we were getting bitten by mosquitos at one of our photo locations, etc! She was always calm and collected, which was really helpful to have her as a calming presence on such a busy and exciting day.  We recently got our sneak peek photos back and we are just blown away. They are absolutely stunning and we can't wait to see the rest. Thank you so much Kate and Tony for making our wedding day absolutely unforgettable!

Our experience with Kate has been amazing. First, we found her on Instagram before we got engaged and knew that when the time was right for us, she would be our wedding photographer. Our feelings were confirmed when we had first started the conversation - At first, she wasn’t available the day of our wedding, but she had made room in her schedule to cover our wedding, which we were extremely grateful for. We knew that a couple of days before our wedding, we had to implement a rain plan. Kate had already had a rain photography plan that when we engaged with her on the changes we had to make, she already had ideas for us on alternative locations. She was a proactive partner, which we were grateful for. It definitely rained during our wedding, but because of her planning and Tony’s attentiveness to make sure we stayed on schedule, we never felt rushed with our wedding portraits and family formals. Also, because of her creativity, our wedding portraits so far have turned out amazing. We’ve gotten many compliments on our sneak peaks, and we’re so excited to see the rest and display them around our house.
