We don’t have enough amazing things to say about our wedding photographer, Damien. He perfectly captured our day and all the little moments throughout. The photos were a mix of film and digital, which added such a nice touch. We also loved his suggestions on when and where to capture locations, as we truly wouldn’t have known otherwise!

It’s hard to put into words how incredible Damien’s photography is. He captured our elopement so perfectly and the pictures are just magical, every time we look at them they transport us back to the day as if we are reliving it again. These photos barely encapsulate the range of emotion Damien captured on our wedding day. Receiving the full album a swift 4 weeks later put us right back in the moment, whilst also seeing it through fresh eyes. When I say every photo evokes countless memories, I'm doing him a disservice.

I first saw Damien's photos online, and immediately knew that a sensitive, respectful and subtle photographer capturing the magic moments would best suit my camera shy and somewhat photographically awkward husband and I! Neither of us are ones for poses, we love a cheesy grin but were unsure about who would make us feel comfortable on our big day!

It turns out that Damien was the perfect match to that.

He was there for every moment, whilst also allowing us to be fully present. He encouraged us to be present in front of the camera in a way we hadn't been as a couple before, whilst also treating every guest through the lens as though they were the bride and groom themselves. There are photos of guests that genuinely make me tear up because of the emotion or the amazing way Damien captured their essence.

Plus... Not only did he make myself, my husband and our guests look and feel incredible, he captured the detail and care of every wedding vendors contribution there in the most incredible way.

We could not recommend putting your trust in Damien more, and couldn't be more grateful for his compassion and craft on the most amazing day of our lives.

Working with Damien was unquestionably the best decision we made when choosing vendors; his photos are so cinematic and iconic, he's such a calming, fun presence on the day and he just 'gets it' - having him in that role meant that we didn't worry at all, we just let him work. The wedding album we received is now probably our most-prized possession - it's so carefully considered and beautifully crafted. If you want to capture the essence of the day from all the right angles (and make you look damn good) he's the photographer you need. Damien's work is masterful.

Damien was the most incredible wedding photographer we could have hoped for! His pictures and style are so unique and intimate, and he was a joy to have around on the day (including a calm head during an actual storm). He was super prompt in turning everything around after the day, always responsive prior to the day, and the photos are absolutely amazing - magazine worthy! 10/10 would recommend he is a star.

Where to begin with Damien! He is absolutely incredible. His photos are pure magic and everyone we showed said they belong in Vogue! Damien’s gentle direction on the day was very appreciated and it was very easy to follow so we got the best poses and shots. Guests commented on how kind, professional and talented his approach was on the day. The way he captures light and frames the photograph is just breathtaking. Damien was absolutely amazing and exceeded all our expectations.
He walked us through every stage – offering helpful tips about lighting, timing and even helped us choose the ideal ceremony location at our venue the day before the wedding. On the day, he made us feel very comfortable and none of the special photographic moments felt rushed or forced.

We love all of our photos and honestly can’t believe how well he was able to capture the special moments without us us seeing or knowing that he was there. Damien’s photos ccaptured the mood of the day so perfectly and we couldn’t be happier.

When looking for a photographer for our wedding, we had a fairly clear vision of what we were after. Photos that were emotive, timeless and didn't necessarily fit the current trends. Upon finding Damien's work, we knew he was exactly what we were looking for. We met with Damien for a pre wedding/engagement shoot in the mountains and found his presence to be very reassuring and casual as we explored a local bush lookout. We were astounded with the outcome of the photos. Damien made the wedding day feel calm and relaxed. We were again very impressed with the emotion captured within his work, representing a true depiction of the day. We can't recommend Damien enough.

Damien's work is best described as raw, soulful, and timeless. Damien believes the most authentic way to capture a story is to allow the day to unfold naturally. Light is the core of his work, and he eagerly experiments with it intentionally and artfully. All his photography packages include digital and analog 35mm coverage on his Leica M6, allowing him to stay present and capture moments soulfully and intentionally. Damien's work is regularly published in print and digital publications such as Vogue Weddings, The LANE, The Anti-Bride, The Bridal Journey, Capture Magazine, Hello May, Together Journal and more. Damien is based in Sydney Australia but is available worldwide and travels to Europe regularly in summer to photograph a limited number of destination weddings and visit his family in Belgium.
