Dee Lee Designs Planner

I originally found Dee because she was one of the preferred wedding planners recommended by our hotel.

Didn’t know where to start so I sent out mass email to all the ones on the list. To add some context, we are bad at planning which is why we needed a planner in the first place. By the time we were looking for a planner, we had less than a year to get everything together.

We needed someone to stay on top of us because we both tend to procrastinate on these type of things. Dee was one of the few planners that immediately followed up, and repeatedly followed up. She was also one of the only planners that, during the initial consultation,  really started talking about numbers, and the thing that initially sold me was when she raised the fact that our wedding was close to Mother’s Day, and how we need to reserve the flowers ASAP so we didn’t gouged on the florals.

As far as pricing, she wasn’t the cheapest, but in comparison to some other planners I inter , I found her rates to be reasonable. While I’m sure most planners have relationships with vendors, I felt she always kept my budget in mind and chose the best value vendor for my budget while still maintaining the quality and high-end feel my wife wanted.

As I hoped, she stayed on top of us and made sure we did what we needed to do. She was responsive and attentive, and walked and/or dragged us through every part of the exhaustive process that is planning a wedding.

On the day of the wedding, we were incredibly pleased by the end result. Her and her team were there at the crack of dawn and hours after the wedding ended. We had a beautiful ceremony and reception, and I know it would literally have been impossible for us without her.

Can’t say enough good things. Also, as a little bonus, there were issues with the venue during the wedding (not her fault), and even after the wedding she’s been helping me to navigate that process to help make me whole.

It's almost been a year since my wedding day, but yet, people are still talking about it. How my wedding was very organized and very memorable. It had to be the work of my wedding organizer, Dee.
I found Dee through her Yelp reviews. I then stumbled upon her website and answered her questionnaires and luckily for me, she responded to me quickly. She called me and she was extremely personable from the beginning. I can tell by her voice that she has passion for what she does, and I'm not just another client. Dee and her team were very professional in organizing my wedding. Starting from the pre-ceremony to the wedding reception. She knew what I wanted and what I envisioned without me having to express it. I didn’t lift any finger because she understood what I needed. Her attention to details was perfect.
At times, I had to bring my family and friends with me. She was very respectful, calm and very family oriented. She prepared time to get to know my closest family and my husband’s family members.
I could rest assure that things will be done on time, and I didn’t have to worry. The things I was anxious about, she's already steps ahead of me and taken care of it.
In addition, I admired about Dee and her team is that they have an extremely good relationship with vendors. She knew
a lot of vendors and has a solid foundation and positive rapport with them. I could tell that her networking was incredible.
Dee would work with my budget, and I did not have to feel reluctant to talk about anything. She would take time and explore my needs and there was always a way out to solve my problems, needs or my hesitations.
All and all, during my wedding preparations and on my big wedding day, I never doubted Dee or her team, or questioned her about the preparations progress, considering my high level of anxiety. She just had the job done nicely and perfectly that the wedding program flow was very smooth. Thank you, Dee Lee Designs and team. I appreciate you.

I am a hair and makeup artist and felt it so important to leave an honest review about Dee! I work with so many vendors and planners and I can admittedly say not all are equal.

I first met Dee by chance when I got referred to her with the honor to do her glam for family photos and instantly we connected. And that reason is because Dee is not just a vendor, but her approach is connecting and being your sister in whatever your journey is. She is extremely knowledgeable, resourceful, but most importantly keeps it 100 real. So many planners will fluff you with hopes that may not be realistic, but Dee’s ability to educate you and be 100 to the chase, is not only refreshing but trusty worthy in my opinion of all that are out there selling you over promised under delivered results. She has an attitude of determination and wanting everyone to succeed and be fulfilled.

Her networking abilities make her inquisitive and beneficial to your wedding because she gets access to people, places, things, in which you could not get at the price you would want on your own. She is upscale with her vision and likes things to be detailed, polished, and elegant. Her reputation of being featured says enough about her taste in things! I know have had the privilege of working with her multiple times and it’s really such a treat. As a vendor, She’s also never gonna let you go hungry, and in my opinion little things matter!

I can’t say enough about her character and hope you give her a chance. Don’t make the mistake of trying to budget in an area that can possibly save you across the boards 100s of dollars. In this industry you will get what you pay for, do not think twice!

We couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner than Dee from the moment we reached out to her, we knew we were in great hands. Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but Dee and her team made everything so much easier.

Communication was seamless from start to finish. She was available to answer questions, offered expert advice, and never made us feel like we were bothering her (even with last-minute changes!). We loved how organized she was, which gave us confidence every step of the way.

Dee and her team are absolutely wonderful - I am so thankful that we found her and had her with us throughout the entire wedding planning process and on our wedding day. Her knowledge and expertise of planning and producing a beautiful wedding, along with her caring and empathetic personality really made what would usually be a stressful and daunting process, fun and easy to navigate.

When my husband and I first met Dee, she listened closely to what we wanted and helped us form a vision since we both hadn’t done much research and only knew that we wanted to have a coastal wedding. In a matter of minutes she already had ideas and started really getting to know who we were as a couple and brainstorming ideas on how to incorporate little moments our story into the wedding. Not only that, she was extremely respectful of our budget and never pushed us towards spending more for the sake of spending more. Dee always found ways to maximize every dollar we spent and it felt so great to know that we had a planner who was really advocating for us every step of the way.

In the year and a half leading up to the wedding, Dee was incredibly patient and answered all of our questions, helping us learn about the wedding planning process so we could make educated decisions and finding vendors for us. Since we live in New York and realistically were unable to constantly fly back for wedding related tasks, having a planner with such strong relationships with our vendors made us feel so much more confident going into the day. We even booked our venue without touring it because Dee had such great relationships with the venue! For over a year, Dee was always readily available and communicated quickly - we always felt as though we were heard and were truly understood as we planned all the details of the wedding.

On the wedding day, Dee and her team were with us every step of the way. People always say wedding days can get really chaotic, but Dee and her team were working tirelessly to make sure that everything was seamless. Our families and friends all had a wonderful experience and had a blast at our wedding, while my husband and I were able to be fully present on our wedding day without worrying about anything. We truly went through our wedding day with the biggest smiles on our faces, fully focused on us and it was all thanks to Dee and her team. There have been very few times (if any at all) where I felt fully present in the moment for an entire day, and it really meant the world to me personally to have our wedding be one of those days. Even after the wedding, we’ve been fortunate to call Dee and our wedding vendors our friends because of how amazing everyone’s energy was on our wedding day.

I’m incredibly grateful and appreciative to have gotten a chance to work with someone like Dee and her team who were so wholeheartedly invested into our wedding as we were in bringing it to life. We truly cannot thank her enough for everything she’s done for us and are also so happy to have gained a wonderful friend throughout this entire process as well.

It’s been 1 year since our wedding with Dee and we have nothing but wonderful things to say about our experience. We reached out to Dee a year and a half ahead of out intended wedding date, only knowing that we wanted a luxurious destination wedding. We did not have a clear vision in our minds of what we wanted our wedding to be except good food, vibes, incorporating our Chinese/Vietnamese culture, and memorable moments within our budget. With Dee living in California and my husband and I living in NY, we made it work to meet in each other’s respective states a few times and connected mainly online.

Dee was able to guide us to create an event that our guests still talk about to this day. I.E, we had fireworks at our wedding in Cabo! Even when some pieces did not seem to fit, we joked Dee is like a fairy godmother. She was able to deliver and frequently exceeded our expectations. She always made sure the numbers made sense and was not afraid to DIY if it meant getting us what we wanted for our esthetic or experience. There were times when as a bride, feelings of frustrated or impatience arises, however, you have to 100% trust Dee that everything is going to work out (likely better than expected). Her vision is what helps bring all the big moving parts together. Her experience, connections, and grit help pull these memorable events together.

Choosing the “Dee Lee experience” was one of the best choices we’ve made so far as a couple. If we were to do it all over again, choosing Dee as our planner is a no brainer. She understood us as a couple and treated us like family. We love you Dee!
