Top 15 I'm a hometown girl native to the Bay Area with roots in Washington State. I grew up with a hunger to experience the world and a call back to the California beach life. My photography career bloomed from a passion for social activism. In 2009, I co-founded an arts program for foster kids and low-income families in South Central LA called SoCal HeARTs. The mission was to offer creative activities cut from public schools to nurture well-rounded children and their dreams. A few years in, I got behind the camera to document the work and found my calling. I never intended to shoot weddings but after my co-founder believed in me and insisted I shoot hers (and it got published), I quickly realized it was what I was meant to do. I fell in love with documenting the beautiful families I got to connect with, the amazing places I got to go, the wonderful creative partners I had the opportunity to collaborate with. It's been over a decade of shooting weddings now, and I have learned that the best shots are the real ones, the moments of presence that come from a comfort and a whole team that cares mostly about you enjoying a moment that will only exist once.

Valorie Darling and her Darling Collective team were AMAZING! I keep telling everyone that the photographer was my favorite vendor for SO many reasons. Not only did they make the day of photos easy and natural, but they were the most amazing pictures. Our family and friends were blown away by the quality of the photos. They are natural and show the true magic of the wedding day. They also got us sneak peaks within 24 hours of the wedding. I would highly recommend working with them!!! Valorie and Vanessa are just the absolute best and they make sure that the wedding day is incredibly smooth by working SO well with everyone else throughout the planning process.
Valorie and the Darling Team are phenomenal. Val goes above and beyond to make you feel special, all while capturing gorgeous moments of your big day. We had a large wedding party and a big wedding, and Val was able to navigate the group with ease and get every shot. The photos are everything I wanted and more. I can't wait for an opportunity to work with Val again.
Where do we begin?! We hired Valorie (and Max) as our wedding photographers and it was one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process. Not only did Valorie provide exceptional photography but the energy, professionalism, creativity and passion she brought to our wedding weekend was something my husband and I and our family and friends noticed and greatly appreciated. Valorie Darling is a 10 out of 10 on every scale. I can’t express how much she helped me throughout my planning process and wedding weekend both- even after! She is thoughtful, kind, and so extremely talented. She made a point to make sure I was always happy and comfortable, as well was my family and friends. Everyone raved how amazing she was all weekend long and even more when the pictures came out. Her photos are timeless but also unique. I can’t recommend her enough. I wish I could get married again just to go through the experience with her one more time!
