Melissa is the best wedding planner in Miami, in our opinion. We’re from New York City and knew we would need a professional to plan our dream destination wedding. That was Melissa! Our guests were blown away by the flowers and decor her team assembled in our Vizcaya tent wedding—it looked straight out of a fairytale. She has long-standing industry connections and knows how to make everything look like a million bucks for much less. She’s organized, pragmatic, funny, and warm. Because of Covid we had to postpone our wedding three times and she never gave us less than 100% effort in renegotiating our contracts despite only being hired for one wedding. In other words, she goes above and beyond for her couples. We would have been lost without her! Do yourself a favor and hire her! Best wedding decision we made by far :)

We had the most incredible experience with Melissa and her team at Luxurious Events. Friendly, prompt, organized, flexible, empathetic, knowledgeable, savvy, well connected - everything you need in a planner. We started working with Melissa in March of 2019 for our March 2020 wedding. We had to postpone just 10 days before our 180 person wedding and moved it...twice. Melissa never complained and always jumped in to help and coordinate changes very quickly. She literally had our wedding fully rebooked in less than 48 hours. She never pressured me into choices and gave me multiple options for every vendor. The vendors we used that she recommended were incredibly friendly and professional. We did use her floral company and our jaws were on the floor walking into the tent - incredible value and execution. She was impressive in the planning phase but when the wedding weekend finally came 3/20/22, let me tell you what - we were ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY. Her attention to detail, level of production and coordination, and true care for us was something I had never experienced before. it was a large outdoor wedding with lots of weather threats and she stayed cool as could be and handled EVERYTHING. I have never felt more taken care of and I am 100% positive we would not have had the absolute dream wedding we had without her.

Words cannot express my gratitude for Melissa and the Luxurious Events staff. My wedding was something out of a magazine! It was the PERFECT wedding and it's all because of them. I came to them with a simple idea and they worked their magic and brought it to life. If you think you don't need a wedding planner, think again and if you think you can go with just any one THINK AGAIN! Melissa is a top-notch planner and I am incredibly lucky to have had her help. She always made use feel as though she had everything 100% under control. Trust me, you want this is in a planner!! The day of the wedding ran so smoothly. Everything, every person, every moment.

Melissa and her team are incredible, I cannot thank them enough! Our wedding turned out perfectly. Melissa was my lead planner and listened to everything we wanted, but also was able to give her advice and professional/personal opinions which really helped me have a well-rounded experience and overall outcome. For about 2 months of our planning I had a bunch of personal struggles hit which made me become pretty much unresponsive to Melissa. Even though I was not at my best, Melissa continued to give her best by continuing to plan, context vendors, email me, call me, etc. Without her continuing to help me, we would not have had a wedding. I sincerely appreciate everything Melissa and her team did for me and for us and would recommend Luxurious Events in a heartbeat.

I hired Luxurious Events for my wedding at Vizcaya Museum in May, 2023. I was paired with Melissa Betancourt, who was truly incredible. We are based in Washington, DC, and Melissa was amazing at helping us maximize our time when we came down to Florida so that we could get everything done in the most efficient way possible. She was excellent at handling my large family and providing recommendations for us for rehearsal dinner spots and hotel blocks since we were out of town. The big day went perfectly and everything went off with zero issues - which is pretty unheard of for a large wedding. If you are getting married at Vizcaya especially, hiring LE is an absolute MUST - there are so many rules and requirements that come along with this venue, and LE navigated all of them perfectly. Seriously, I cannot thank Melissa and the LE team enough for their hard work. Our day was perfect and I would recommend them to any couple getting married in Miami. THANK YOU, LUXURIOUS EVENTS!!

MelissaBetancourt and Melissa Barbier went above and beyond to make my dream wedding Come true. Melissa Betancourt was my assigned wedding planner and always made me feel heard. She took all of my anxieties, concerns, visions, and made sure to try to deliver them the best she could with everything else that I told her was important. she knew from the beginning that my husband had a budget in mind and she really did try to counsel us on this at all costs and always provided me with multiple options of things that I wanted so I can compare a price and quality etc. When there were things that she felt may not work, she would reach out to multiple other vendors, not part of the in-house team just to see if she can get it done. I change my mind a lot and she was patient and understanding. I also work as a surgeon and she was so flexible with my hours to make sure she always made time for me and my husband when we had questions concerns or had a wedding! meeting I cannot say enough how caring, meticulous, organized Melissa and her team were. I would recommend them to anyone looking to hire an event planner. throughout every step of the process, she guided us, calmed us, fought for what we wanted with the vendors! She even went above and beyond, and helped provide me with venues and good spots for my rehearsal dinner and beach party! on the day of the wedding, I joked that she must be in the CIA because she knew everything going on at all times, and she was keeping an eye on me (the bride), and making sure I was OK even when I had no idea she was watching. She was amazing!! She made my dream wedding become a reality, and I cannot thank her enough.

We worked with Melissa Betancourt from Luxurious Events for over a year. We had no doubt after our first meeting with her that she was the wedding planner we wanted to work with. She definitely captured our vision and gave us brilliant ideas that elevated the wedding to new heights. This Planner has an excellent team that was always willing to help, including Daniella who was also exceptional. The team also has excellent relationships with so many vendors, and Melissa was able to negotiate the best prices and services and pass on their excellent pricing and discounts to us. Melissa kept us so well organized with monthly emails and check in calls so that it never felt stressful. She also accommodated our busy work schedules and met us after hours. More importantly, Melissa always made us feel as a priority and as if though we were her only client (which we know we weren't). As the wedding date approached and we were worried about the weather, she had everything lined up for a plan B, which fortunately was never needed because we were blessed with beautiful weather, but the fact that she had everything ready as a backup made us feel more relaxed. The wedding turnout out to be absolutely MAGICAL. Every guest and even vendors commented on the timeless and beautiful wedding which looked like a fairytale. This would not have been possible without our wedding planner, Melissa Betancourt and the team at Luxurious Events.

Hiring Luxurious Events to plan our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. We absolutely cannot recommend them enough! We worked with Melissa (owner and creative founder) over a period of about 8 months to plan our wedding and she made the entire process manageable and stress-free. From our first meeting, I noticed immediately how incredibly organized and detail-oriented she was, and that she leads with both character and heart. From that point on we knew that our wedding would be in great hands. One of the most difficult things about planning a destination wedding is just the sheer amount of vendors that are available, making it extremely difficult to make smart choices from afar. With Melissa, that wasn’t an issue at all. She recommended the BEST vendors, and all of them top-notch - a testament to the depth and quality of relationships she has built in the wedding services industry. Our friends kept telling us how stressed we were going to be 1-2 months before the wedding. That never really happened, everything was easy going. Melissa had full command of all the vendor correspondence, schedules, venue requirements, payments, set-up, load-in, etc. What I loved about working with Melissa: she always remained calm throughout any situation or hurdle thrown her way and there were a few hiccups along the way, but she was quick to reconcile and problem solve. As for our actual wedding day, it was an absolute dream come true and exceeded ALL our expectations!! We will be forever grateful to Melissa and her team for giving us the wedding of our dreams! All of our guests still rave about how beautiful and epic our wedding was and they were glad they made the trip to Miami, bc it was worth it. My new advice to couples getting married: (1) If it's within your budget, you should definitely hire a wedding planner. It will make the process of "getting married" much less torturous for you, and it's the highest "value-to-dollars-spent", and (2) If you're getting married in the Miami area you should hire luxurious Events.
