I opened Gian Events almost seven (7) years ago after a friend told me that I would be an amazing 'get stuff done!' Event Planner - and my friend was right! With experience in corporate event planning and logistics in the past, this transferrable skill made it's way to the wedding industry for me. The first wedding I ever planned was not terrible, but was not the best - everything went according to the timeline, but when it came to pivoting when the cake was late, champagne was not chilled and grandma didn't show up to ceremony due to traffic, there were moments where she had to look back and think 'Whoa... what the heck do I do?' After a few events and months of research and training, I look back at that first wedding and although the bride and groom were SO happy, I always wonder if I could go back in time how I would handle so many pivots and unexpected turns!
