We hired Potok's World Photography for our small outdoor wedding and an engagement shoot - we reached out to them because we loved the vibrancy and creativity of the photos in their portfolio. Anji and Pete were a great team - a warm, discreet and professional duo during the wedding events, and also timely and responsive about pre-wedding details and follow-up correspondence. The photographs from the wedding and engagement shoot were beautiful and alive and really captured the spirit of this special moment in our lives.
My wife and I met Pete & Anji through a mutual friend after them capturing their special day. After our initial consultation we were immediately impressed with their presentation, knowledge, and organization of their information. We began planning a destination wedding and wanted to have them as part of our special day. Through the planning process they were easily accessible and and had great communication leading up to our special day. On our wedding day they snapped away and we barely noticed they were there. They were able to capture all of the photos we wanted without being asked and even enjoyed the reception with us as we danced the night away! They were very professional, prompt, and provided us with comfort through the entire process. When it came to receiving the finished product, we were impressed with turnaround time as we had heard horror stories about photographers how long edits could take. We received a sneak peak of the photos very fast and then the full product shortly after! The outcome was AMAZING! I think they may have won an award from our wedding photos :-) I would recommend Potok’s World Photography for capturing your special moments!
My partner and I are big fans of Anji and Pete. We’re both a bit camera shy and they are wonderful at creating a fun, relaxed atmosphere and helping us find natural poses. Their photos are BEAUTIFUL. They are skilled at taking candids that capture the emotions of the moment. We’ve had the pleasure of taking engagement, wedding, and maternity photos with Anji and Pete, and look forward to continuing to work with them to capture and share the special moments in our lives. My wife and I are so glad we Anji and Pete to shoot our engagement and wedding photos and highly recommend them. Anji and Pete were absolute professionals during the whole process and had great communication. We preferred to have photographers who were more in the background to capture our special moments instead of actively posing us and we were very happy that this aligned with Anji and Pete’s style. Whenever we had specific questions, they would have blog posts or answers right away to make the whole process go smoothly. Our families and us absolutely loved all of the photos we received from our engagement shoot and wedding. Fingers crossed that we never need wedding photographers again but if we did we would definitely choose Anji and Pete.
It was such a wonderful experience to work with Anji and Pete for our wedding photography. We booked them pre-pandemic, and for well over a year, Anji and Pete would check in, were flexible with the changes we had to make, and thoughtful in every aspect of our wedding. In a time that could have been much more stressful, Anji and Pete were a bright spot. They were easy to work with, accommodating, and also, the photos...AMAZING. Even beyond the wedding, they reached out, send very special and cherished photos to our parents, and treat you like you are important to them. You will not be disappointed if you chose Potok for your wedding, or for any other milestone you want to document. I cannot wait to work with them again in the future for other events in our lives. We worked with Anji and Pete for both our wedding and engagement photography and I absolutely could not be happier. As someone who gets very nervous in front of a camera, I was worried about photography. They both took the time to get to know us and to put us at ease, especially in posed situations. We wanted the photographs to feel like us: joyful, silly, colorful, and exuberant...not like a generic wedding magazine. They chose a fabulous location for the engagement shoot (gardens outside the Smithsonian castle). When I look back at our pictures I see a moment-by-moment representation of an amazing day that flew by for me as the bride. Of course they captured us as bride and groom, but they also made intimate and lovely portraits of our friends and family, who were there to celebrate with us. Having those moments captured in images reminds us of the love all around us when we got married this fall. The collection of images is a treasure!
Pete & Anji were everything we could ask for in wedding photographers. We wanted a smaller, more intimate wedding and they were incredibly supportive in offering expert suggestions to have our moments captured in a manner which reflected the spirit of our wedding. At the end of the day they felt like part of the family, and we are truly grateful for their support.
