Anastasia Panjinskaya's journey into the realm of photography began in her formative years. Her educational pursuit in Public Relations and Advertising at the Department of Journalism equipped her with a unique blend of narrative skills and aesthetic understanding. Anastasia recalls, "I completed my university education there, obtaining a degree in Public Relations and Advertising from the Department of Journalism," Anastasia shares, highlighting the strong influence of her background on her current work.
With 15 years of experience, Anastasia has refined her style to focus on editorial and intimate wedding photography, characterized by a documentary approach. Her toolkit is carefully chosen to complement her style, consisting of a Sony A7 R4, her favored 35 mm & 50 mm fix lenses, and a flash. Her post-processing workflow involves using Lightroom for color and exposure correction, and Photoshop for more detailed retouching of skin and texture corrections.
Anastasia's approach to client engagement is deeply analytical and personalized. She starts by examining the bride's social media profiles to grasp her style and preferences. This initial research helps her prepare extensively for the initial meeting, where she collects detailed information about the couple's love story and wedding vision.
"Throughout our conversation, I offer numerous ideas to streamline the process, ensuring the couple remains relaxed while still obtaining all the desired photographs. I draft a detailed photography schedule to maximize productivity on the wedding day. Subsequently, I prepare a reference mood board based on their wishlist. On the day of the event, I work with a well-defined plan in mind, allowing me to efficiently manage any deviations from the schedule," she adds.
Her passion for photography shines through when she discusses what she enjoys most about her profession. "I have a deep passion for the fashion, jewelry, and cultural aspects of various traditions. Working as a wedding photographer allows me to engage with and capture a diverse array of styles, nationalities, and customs. This opportunity continually excites and inspires me, as I am able to be part of and document the unique and significant events of different cultures," she expresses with enthusiasm.
Anastasia also offers practical advice for clients to ensure they are well-prepared for their photo sessions. "Get enough rest before the shoot to ensure you look fresh and relaxed. Taking a few days off from your regular routine can help you de-stress. Give All the information to a photographer and just trust me," she advises. This guidance is aimed at helping clients feel comfortable and confident, allowing them to enjoy their special day while Anastasia captures their most memorable moments.
Handling between 85 to 100 weddings a year, Anastasia provides a range of coverage options, from 4 hours for small elopements to 10 hours for more extensive events. Her minimum 10-hour starting price is AED 30000.
“I always strive to create packaging that is tailored to their specific requests. In addition to offering digital photography, I also provide film photography options. This approach allows me to cater to diverse preferences and ensure a comfortable and personalized experience for my clients,” she shares.
Anastasia has a passion for destination weddings and has captured diverse cultural weddings around the world. She does not have a preferred country, emphasizing the beauty and uniqueness of each location. "I have had the privilege of capturing weddings from diverse cultures, including Emirati and Saudi, Indian, European, Sudanese, Kazakh, Lebanese, and Caucasian. Through my experience, I have gained extensive knowledge of their unique wedding traditions and cultures. Each of these countries possesses its own distinct beauty and special characteristics."
